The word itself generally means anything baked in a pastry. The concept has been around for centuries and spans cultures across the world. The beauty of the empanada is its simplicity. Take any of your favorite foods and imagine them inside a pocket of homemade dough that is cooked perfectly until it is golden brown and piping hot. It’s a fresh twist on old favorites. Our empanadas are a culinary treat.

ABOUT US!

Mr. Empanada started in 1984 from a hobby, then a dream of Founder, Albert Perez.

Mr. Empanada was sold in 1990 and eventually closed by the buyer. Mr. Empanada had a 13 year hiatus from The Perez Family from 1990 to 2003. Then in 2003 the original owners and founders, The Perez’s re-​opened Mr. Empanada, one block from its original location. Today we have a team, along with the original Perez Family, that is dedicated to the Mr. Empanada Brand.
