Mozzarella Bar

In town for a meeting and found this superb made from scratch Italian bistro. A complete family run business,. I have never seen a Unilocal restaurant with more than 10 reviews with 5 stars. Worth every star. Pity that they are only open Thursday thru Saturday, but call them and they may make special arrangements.

If you’re looking for American Italian, then this isn’t your place. This is authentic Italian. The best food outside of Italy, for sure.

Mozzarella Bar is real Italian food, not spaghetti and meatballs. We had the caprese, spinach/​ricotta dumplings, and roasted beef special. It was all amazing. The fresh cheese is the best part. It’s a small place, but big on quality.

Found this great South Tampa gem around the corner. Antonio opened the doors and treated us to all kinds of amazing Italian treats. Caprese Salad was awesome, stacked high and lots of great flavor. Loved the Tagliata and the Gnocchi. The deserts put the meal over the top…
Great atmosphere — awesome food.

I heard about this place from a friend, so tried it today for lunch. I started with the Ribolitta, a traditional Tuscan soup… delicious. I then had a caprese focaccia panini, as I wanted to try the mozzarella. Fresh and creamy! The owner makes it on-​site fresh daily. Many cheeses to choose from and can’t wait to return for dinner!

Antonio it was great coming into your place recently. The menu wasn’t intimidating and provided a wonderful selection of truly fresh food. I look forward to doing dinner soon.

An amazing place for an intimate dinner with close family and friends. The food is amazing with extra attention paid to every little detail. Be sure to have a few friends in mind and make reservations in advance. Part of the ambiance is a small setting designed for just a few diners at each place setting.

Mozzarella Bar is a true authentic Sicilian hidden gem. Antonio and his amazing family prepared a five course private dinner for eight of us. The decadent meal began with baked smoked mozzarella that literally melts in your mouth, then onto a fried pizza, pumpkin gnocchi in a sage butter sauce, truffled mushroom crostini (some had speck, some roasted eggplant), and finally a savory sweet buratta. It is hard to please eight people in the same seating, we had two vegetarians and a few picky eaters who are used to a more «basic» style. Everyone LOVED everything as Antonio promised we would. The overall experience was so unbelievably fabulous, unique, and intimate. I can’t wait to plan another dinner there.

This place is an hidden jewel! Tucked away between Henderson and Neptune, maybe a block or so from South Dale Mabry, it isn’t visible from the road [but that only adds to the sense of discovery :) ]. I am an Italian native and tend to be very picky — if not downright demanding — when it comes to Italian food. Well, I’ve found my Italian food haven. We dined there yesterday night, with some friends and it was a truly wonderful experience! Starting with the appetizers, fresh homemade mozzarella, Calabrese «nduja», smoked trout and seared duck, accompanied by an authentic Italian «mostarda» (first time ever I found it outside of Italy) both the taste of the food and the presentation were absolutely gorgeous. The entrée was tuna fish carbonara, a lighter and more sophisticated version of the traditional one and it was to die for. I’ve been waiting for a place like this the whole time I lived in the United States, over 15 years now, and now I found it. Of course I will be back very often: Antonio and Betty, the owners, have better get used to my face :)

This is the most Amazing and the Best Homemade Local Buffalo cheeses in Tampa… The owners are a amazing Family and the cheese is absolutely delicious.. If you want the Best then definitely seek this place out!
