History

Established in 1991.

As booklovers ourselves, we saw Tampa’s need for a full service independent bookseller — with new books in every category, a lively schedule of author appearances, and active engagement with the community’s schools, nonprofits, and civic life. We take advantage of local, regional and national alliances with other booksellers and independent businesses of all types, to provide a professional, community-​based alternative to chain and big box competitors. We are happy to have invested in our community and to contribute to the local culture and economy, and appreciate every customer who has helped us to do just that for all these years!
