Specialties
Our menu is simple and only contains five items. We are strong believers in quality over quantity, and have such a simple menu to make sure everything we serve is being served at the highest standard. We have four coffee choices: brewed coffee, espresso, espresso with milk, and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Our nitro infused cold brew is our pride and joy, and we have four options on tap, which make up Tampa’s first cold brew nitro bar.
Our fifth item is doughnuts made fresh daily from Datz Dough, which you will have three choices to choose from: maple bacon, crème brûlée, and fruity pebbles.
History
Established in 2015.
Our story didn’t start like most coffee shops, with visions of corporate profit. It all started with a few guys and a crazy idea. The idea was a simple one: what if our love of coffee and of people could combine in a new way. What if we could bring new life to an old space?
So we quit the daily grind of corporate life to start serving coffee here in Tampa’s Channelside District. And not just any coffee, but Nitro Cold Brew. We could use the same process that we perfected with homebrewing beer to make coffee, just minus the alcohol. And this crazy thing happened — it worked.
Partnering with the Pour House in Grand Central Station, we serve our Nitro Cold Brew from four taps at the end of the bar. Now, its great atmosphere and great people are available night or day.
That was the beginning of Ginger Beard Coffee, named after the massive red-haired beards of founders Josh Glass and Derek Scanlon. Like caffeine-slinging bartenders, we serve up rich, thick caffeine on tap.
