Fuzzie Buddies

ATTENTION! Fuzzie buddies will not want you to see this. Fuzzie Buddies flagged all my posts about them to cover up the fact that they were ripping me off and trying to keep my dog. They had me sign a document stating that I wouldn’t bring this to the public but I am not keeping quiet anymore. I paid them $ 1000 to ensure that they would not give my dog away and give me an extension on an astronomical bill that I never agreed to pay. Because I wanted my sweet girl safe I paid them a partial payment till I could come up with the rest even though I was being taken advantage of and billed far more than what I agreed to. I kept in constant communication with them to make sure things went smooth. Things seemed to be going in the right direction up until a few days ago when I got ROBBED! I provided reports to them as proof. Instead of caring they decided to steal my dog. They kept my $ 1,000 and my dog. Please share and spread the word! My dog has been with me for the past 7yrs! The owner rather send my dog to the pound where she is likely to get euthanized because of her age. Share for Samantha!

I used Fuzzy Buddies for boarding over a weekend for a change from my previous place Camp Bow Wow Tampa Airport. Fuzzy Buddies hits most of the marks: The place is well staffed and the building that houses the pets are inside and has some climate control. I like the staff. Their appears several levels of doors to prevent ‘jail breaks’. Medications and two (quick) bathroom are included in the basic boarding charge. The regular large kennels, while prison cell-​like) had two areas, concrete walls, and sturdy medal doors.
My main beef with Fuzzie Buddies is that the Boarding has no playtime or dog interaction included at all… you are basically just ware housing your dog. This was not made that clear before the transaction. Camp Bow Wow boarding, which is basically the same price, allows some doggie playtime with the boarding. I think this a flaw in the fuzzy Buddy business model. Probably not gonna be my 1^st choice.

I have been boarding my dogs at fuzzie buddies for about a year. Recently we moved out of the Tampa area, so we have selected a different boarder due to distance. However, I really liked fuzzie buddies a lot and ALWAYS used them when I lived in the Tampa area.
Prices: I found the prices very reasonable compared to other places I’ve used. I always selected the luxury suite for my dogs. I really loved using these and used them exclusively. My dogs are spoiled and this was a way to give them the best accommodations while they were away from home. There is a large room with beds and a webcam for each suite. I really liked that as I like to keep an eye on my dogs while I’m away. I could login whenever I wanted and check on them. That’s great!
Facility/​Staff: I feel this facility is really good. There was no ‘pet’ smell when I walked in. The front desk staff were great with the animals and I never had to wait to drop off or pick up.
Special Circumstances: What really impressed me about fuzzie buddies was the experience we had with a post-​surgical dog needed boarding. I gave fuzzie buddies very specific instructions on my dog’s post surgical care, including medication administration and dressing changes. We hated to leave him during this time but we had previous reservations we had to honor. Fuzzie buddies did a great job of following his care schedule and making sure he was okay. They checked on him frequently and when I got him back from them, he was still healing well.
Options: The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because the daycare is optional at an additional charge. I prefer my boarder to include this in the boarding cost. I would rather my dogs be out playing during the day than in a run/​room; however the addition of the daycare would’ve been too expensive. So, I didn’t choose it. However, if this isn’t something you’re interested in, then fuzzie buddies is perfect.

Fuzzie buddies is what it is.
It is certainly one of the best looking & smelling boarding places in the area. However it is very over priced in my opinion. I left my 2 dogs here for 5 nights and it cost me just shy of $ 500. That was with very minimal interaction and only 2 ways a day. I opted for the 2^nd largest area for them to share.
For the most part the staff is very accommodating but it seems more like they’ll say anything to get your business. It seems a lot of the people who work here are young kids mostly late teen early 20s looking. I had to ask 3 times to have special notes added into their computer about my older dogs arthritis medicine& younger dogs is a chewer so i didn’t want him to be left alone with plastic bowls or a bed. Not a huge deal in the scheme of things but if i called twice to specifically ask someone to note it and both times they assured me they wrote it down in the dogs profile. when i showed up for drop off it still wasn’t listed. Theres something wrong there.
When i picked my pups up they seemed happy & unharmed which is all i asked for. But the girl made sure to tell me what a «handful» my 1 year old lab was… I couldnt help but think to myself. Yes. I know. I live with him & thats why i picked such a high rated place to leave him in the care of «professionals».
Fuzzie buddies is okay but not worth the $$ i think well try somewhere else next time.

I have never left a negative review but this place really needs to change their ways. They nickel and dime you as you drop your pet off offering an array of unnecessary services. They offer pick up times specifically within a set time (3 – 6) and refuse to open the doors a minute earlier regardless of any extenuating circumstances or inconveniences.
There are many other facilities within the same couple mile radius and I would suggest anything other than Fuzzy Buddies.

I have been taking my American Bulldog to Fuzzie Buddies for over a year now. Lola perks up as soon as we get close and is excited to go into Fuzzie Buddies. The staff always greets us in a friendly manner and is quick to check her in for daycare, and let me get on my way. When I pick her up, she is not overly spent, but definitely «played» out. Lola also goes to Fuzzie Buddies for boarding when I head out of town. Whenever I have needed meds administered, the staff is happy to customize her stay. I’ve always had Lola’s belongings returned and have had no issues with the boarding services or getting a reservation on the books, by calling in advance. Also, the location is pretty conveniently located between the crosstown, I-​4 and state road 60.
My only concern is that she is usually a bit stinky when I pick her up.
I will continue to take Lola to daycare at Fuzzie Buddies, as long as they will have us.

This place may seem a bit out of the way for those in certain parts of Tampa, but it’s well worth the couple extra minutes. Plus, with I-​4 and the Selmon on either side, it’s a quick drive.
The staff here is always super friendly and our dogs are always excited to see the people they remember. I can tell that it feels like a second home to them. The staff even go out of their way to contact the vet if I forget some paperwork… like I did today.
The prices are competitive compared to other, higher-​quality kennels. The a la carte menu can add up quick, but we usually just do play time and a bath before we pick them up. The bath before pick up is a must because they usually stink so much from playing all day.
If you’re looking for a new place to drop off the pups, I highly recommend Fuzzie Buddies to anyone in the greater Tampa Bay area.

What can I say, Rosebud loves it! Very clean with staff that actually appear to love their job and the dogs. Great choice of extra activities, pool, socializing with the other pups, etc. They provide you with a report of your dog’s stay at checkout… behavior, eating, potty, etc. And are happy to provide an update over the phone. My friend from Boston called to check on Rosebud when I was out of the country, only to be jealous bc she had just come in from the pool. Also greatly appreciate special pricing discounts to make affordable. And they are vigilant about the dogs shot records.

We are crazy about our dog, so I was little leery about leaving our pup somewhere for a week while we were on vacation. BUT I’m so glad we found Fuzzie Buddies. Before deciding on taking him there I went and received a tour by their friendly staff. They explained what a day would look like for my dog, explaining all the options I could choose from. When I dropped him off they took him back right away (which is smart as to not prolong the separation anxiety). The staff is very understanding that leaving your dog in their care can be stressful and they encouraged me to feel free to call and check up on him. They ensured me they would REALLY walk back to where he is and physically check on him while I waited on the phone. I called twice while we were gone and they told me how much fun he had had in the pool that day and how he was a little timid with the other dogs. I felt very comfortable with the staff that I left him with and would use them again next time.

I came here for a tour of the boarding facilities due to the multiple suggestions from my friends who take their dogs here. The facility was really clean and the staff was friendly. I liked the big outside areas and all the different options to choose from when you are boarding your dog. This wasn’t the best option for me because it’s a little too big for my dog. I think my dog would get overwhelmed by the size and the amount of dogs there. I have a small yorkie who isn’t a big fan of larger dogs and they do not separate the big and small dogs during daycare, so I didn’t think it was the right choice for me. With that being said it’s the nicest facility I have been to and I was impressed with the cleanliness and the staff.

Hi — this is Rocco again. back to review my fav place, Fuzzie Buddies. I am really shocked that no other mommies have reviewed this place! I will be the first to admit that I don’t like new people and new places — they kind of freak me out. My mom noticed that I was lonely though. so she took me here to play with other dogs. I was not happy at first, not at all … but are you kidding me? They have a pool! I get to play all day long, I get to sun bathe by the pool, I get to swim and play with other little dogs too! I love when my mom takes me there. Everyone is so nice and they really care about me. My mom says the hours are great, prices are good and she loves how exhausted I am when I come home (whatever).
