Specialties

We specialize in healthy frozen yogurt with active live cultures and probiotics, serving 10 flavors daily. We also carry sugar/​fat free and low dairy. At Froyo Fresh, we are a self serve concept. So… you get your cup, put as little or as much as you would like into your cup, load a lot or a little of over 40 plus toppings, then weigh and pay.

You can get a frozen yogurt in 3 different types of cones that come in sm, med, & LG. We also make fresh homemade ice cream weekly.

Established in 2010.

At Froyo Fresh, we offer a wide variety of frozen yogurt treats. It is self serve and oh so yummy.

Not to mention, they are all Fat Free and healthy for you!

I have been in the hospitality business for 25 yrs. I grew up in Kansas City, then I went to college at UNLV in Las Vegas and got my Bachelors in Hotel Administration. I worked for Marriott Hotels for 3 yrs in management. That led me to open my own business, with Matthew Walsh. We opened Tanya & Matt’s Ice Creamiest Dec. 1991. We came up with our own recipes and make over 65 flavors of custom homemade ice cream. We had 3 locations at one time: Northdale, Brandon, and WestShore Plaza. Matt runs the Northdale store and I opened Froyo Fresh in WestChase one year ago.

We have visited here several times. The froyo is tasty and very low calorie! The décor is very cute, very welcoming for adults and kiddos. We like getting our froyo and playing checkers at one of the tables sitting in the big rocking chairs. The prices are very reasonable. This has definitely become our go-​to local place when we’re craving dessert!

Sweet cream vanilla is the way to go. Lots of great toppings. Friendly service. There are taster cups above the traditional ice cream case at the counter. Can’t go wrong with blackberries and fresh mango toppings. This place always seems to do pretty well and I always enjoy my visits. even when Raju beats me at their oversized checkers game. Comfy place. Surf Shack and a flatbread pizza type sports bar dinner place next door as well as Publix and Mickey D’s in same complex on Linebaugh and Racetrack /​Countryway.

I live for their taro yogurt!!! It’s my favorite place for yogurt, and I make it a point to go the whenever I can. The service is pretty good, and there is a woman named «Tutti» who is so friendly that I actually miss her when I don’t go for a while. It’s rare to find someone who is so welcoming and seems to like their job. The other cashiers are not as friendly, but they provide excellent customer service.
If I had any complaint, it would be that they don’t always have my favorite (taro) all of the time. Great place

The Westchase plaza with a little bit of everything scores again on my first pop-​in to Froyo Fresh.
First, very pleasant and professional employee working inside.
Always a sucker for anything Key Lime flavored, she allowed me to try some of their Key Lime ice cream and it passed the test.
I then split my cup between the peanut butter and oatmeal cookie frozen yogurt flavors and thought the taste was certainly authentic.
Overall, the selection of ice cream, froyo and toppings/​tasty accessories was very good and they aren’t very expensive at all.
There’s a sticker on the front door that says «People love us on Unilocal.» Well, count me as one of those people.

Great frozen yogurt spot. Many flavors of soft serve, hand serve, and toppings; high quality too. This location even has a drive-​thru.

By far the best place to go for something sweet and yummy! I have been going there for awhile and everything is always great! Tanya and her staff are very welcoming and friendly! Their strawberry banana smoothies and peanut butter expressos are amazing! Very great for customer service! If you’re looking for a friendly environment with great froyo, definitely try out Froyo Fresh!

The most disappointing froyo I have ever had the misfortune of consuming. Selection of yogurt was slim. There were many topping options but the most basic, obvious choices were absent. I had the original tart and salted caramel. Salted caramel was flavorless. Original tart was almost too tart, lending to a spoiled taste. I actually felt bad giving a few spoonfuls to my dog. I won’t be returning.

Yogurt drive thru… Thats just cool. They have ice cream also and you don’t even have to get out of the car. I prefer to serve my self and fill my cup with a few of the flavors (tasted super good) and lots of toppings!!! Staff supper friendly and nice!

Great frozen yogurt flavor and so many toppings it’s hard to pick only a few! My only complaint is that I don’t know when to stop piling on the toppings and end up with more than I really need. Great local business!

This place is awesome !! The yogurt is good but I go for Matt and Tanya’s homemade ice cream!!! During thanksgiving and every blue moon they have a sweet potato casserole ice cream, I swear it’s yummy!!! This is mine and my husbands favorite place! The one on north dale mabry in carollwood is amazing too!!!

This was my go-​to froyo spot while I was pregnant with my little guy, and I still love coming here even now.
The shop is cute and funky, with multiple froyo flavors that rotate and a fully stocked topping bar. The price is measured by weight so, as long as you know the basics of physics and gravity, you’ll end up with a tasty personalized treat that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. If money is no object then by all means, go for a huge scoop of gummy worms. More power to ya.
And don’t forget to ask for a stamp card if you plan on being a repeat customer.

First visit to froyo and became a fan. It was clean and though smaller than the yogurt mountain in carrollwood that I usually go to for my frozen yogurt fix, they had some pretty interesting flavors to choose from. The salted caramel was my favorite. They claim to be low cal, gluten free and kosher as well. Low cal is a bit deceiving if you add all the extras but who can resist some peanut butter cups with your froyo? Many of the yogurts have Splenda added as sweetener so I tried to stay clear of those.
They also offered a 10% discount with a receipt from the surf shack restaurant next door which was mighty nice. A good way to cool your palate after some spicy food.

Tanya and Matt what’s happening? Your establishment is going down hill. What happened to the mature, responsible HS aged girls working there? They were fast, efficient and kept the place clean. Lately it’s been dirty, chaotic and lacking the basics like HOT fudge. I know it sounds silly, but people like their hot fudge actually hot, not cold and a big glob like I found it today.
3 stars because its close and I like to support local businesses, but clean it up, hire back the old staff and offer hot fudge please.

Love this place! We go at least every couple of weeks for the ever changing sugar free flavors. The service is always friendly. I’ve tried several other froyo places in the area, and Tanya & Matt’s has the best quality by far. The recently revamped the toppings bar, and the new dispensers are a little difficult to use but not a big deal. Love that they let you sample the flavors before buying.

I’m definitely a fan but I have to deduct a star since my last visit.
The service is still great but I wish they would be more careful about making sure the toppings bar was fresher. Bottles of Hersey Syrup were empty when my brother reached for it. The cookie toppings were stale. There was a lack of care when it came to the presentation of the toppings.
The fro-​yo itself is still delicious and I love that they make it clear the nutritional value on each flavor. The toppings bar needs some attention nonetheless.
Lighting in the store needs some work because at night it’s pretty dark and dim.

Wonderful place, and I’m very glad that it’s a bit of a drive from where I now live in Carrollwood since it would be awfully convenient to ride my bike over to this temple of FroYo from my former home in Westchase.
Tanya & Matt’s Frozen Yogurt Home of Fresh Yummy Goodness is located in the Publix shopping center at the intersection of Linebaugh Avenue and Countryway, right in the heart of Westchase. It’s tucked behind the McDonald’s so you need to pull into the shopping center and look at the row of restaurants behind Mickey D’s to find this place.
Tanya & Matt’s is small inside, but they have plenty of room for about 20 people, plus outdoor seating along the sidewalk for more. There’s also a drive-​through window which was popular when I visited.
The quantity of selections was smaller than many other frozen dessert places (10 selections as I recall), but the quality of their product was outstanding. I was very pleased to see that everything was labeled as low cal FroYo, and noticed that they rotate their flavors according to the season. According to a sign in the store, «all our Frozen Yogurt is gluten-​free, kosher, egg-​free, fat/​cholesterol-​free, and has LIVE active yogurt cultures, 8 – 20 calories/​oz.»
I got a cup of the low cal Very Berry yogurt and then piled on fresh strawberries, fresh red and black raspberries, and freshly-​grated coconut for a very tasty dessert. It’s the usual game of fill the cup with yogurt, then pile on the toppings, and then weigh the entire mess to see what the cost will be.
Their toppings bar has all kinds of candies, nuts, fruit, and assorted sticky goodness so that you can customize your dessert to your liking.
The cost is 42 cents per ounce, which means that my cup of yogurt with all of the fruit toppings was under $ 5.
Great place, and worth a stop or two.
