Great hole in the wall Cuban place. I ordered a side of roasted pork. It was tender and cheap! $ 3! They also offer made to order Cuban sandwiches and hot bar meals. Definitely worth a try!

I can’t believe I never knew this place existed. I often frequent a nearby building for work, and I’m so excited to find out about this place. It is easy to miss because it is a tiny building next to a larger car repair place. We were greeted by very friendly staff who took our orders and quickly filled them. I had a Cuban sandwich which was large, conveniently priced, and delicious! I saw lots of other authentic, Cuban food that I am so excited to return and try in the near future.

Truly authentic food. The mofongo with shrimp was to die for. Felt like I was back in Puerto Rico on a beach. The Cubans are filled with great quality meat. Service is fast and employees are nice. Oh and let’s not forget the devil crab cake… lots for little! Go hungry, because you are going to get a lot of good food for a reasonable amount of money!

Real real real authentic Cuban food! I think I was the only non-Cuban eating in there! And it was very delicious. But if 40th Street Restaurant wants more stars then they need to step up their thickness because the Cuban was quite scant on the meat! Don’t get me wrong, it was very good, but nowhere as filling as the Floridian on Treasure Island and even there they lack thickness(see my review here: ). I was at a training and have not really been in that part of town before. I saw a good review and thought this place would make a good adventure. It was good, and a quick little adventure, but it could be better! The lunch special is very affordable, 6 bucks for a good tasting(albeit not that filling) Pressed Cuban Sandwich, bag of chips, and 20 ounce soda. The staff was very very very friendly, and very fast. I ordered my sandwich, sat down, and within minutes had it delivered to me. The building is old and scary looking, but heck that makes the experience more fun. It is located in a very industrial part of town. Inside, it was also pretty outdated. Orange booths and lots of tables tucked back in small cubbies, not very much open spaces. Also it lacked in décor. They could totally step it up on the décor. Overall it was pretty darn clean for how scary it looked on the outside. If your read my Floridian review, I mentioned that the best Cuban Sandwiches come from dusty gas stations. Well this place was pretty much that, a dusty gas station, minus the dust, as I already noted it was clean. The Cuban was very good, I just wished it was more filling. Nevertheless, nice service and I was able to get in, eat, and get out in about 20 minutes. Giving me plenty of time to spare for my lunch break. The Cuban Sandwich was cheaper than the Floridian(possibly because it was the lunch special). But it also had less meat. If they stepped up the décor some to give it a more authentic Cuban feel, then I would up this place 4 stars. If they loaded up the Cuban sandwich with more meet, then I would give it 5 stars. There was a lot of interesting things to try, and if I am ever on that side of town again, I would probably give it another shot. For the price, the food was very flavorful!
