History

Established in 2005.

The history of First Choice Moving stems from a desire to improve the moving process! One of the original Co-Founder’s Chris Unsworth, worked in the moving industry for several years… gaining knowledgeable experience but not without witnessing plenty of negative situations. After relocating his family a few times over the years, personally experiencing the difficulties and concerns of moving. He was inspired to make positive changes with the common structure of what exist generally in the moving industry. So, Chris and his wife Rebecca decided to start a moving company that professionally did things right. First Choice Moving was created with a business model that always placed our customers first! We put a system together that was honest, consistently successful and priced fairly. Our team’s goal was to make moving a simpler task, removing the stress associated with relocating. Because of our returning and referred customers, we have enjoyed a steady growth for over a decade.

As the owner of First Choice Moving, I am personally invested in every customer. From the beginning, my main focus has been my customers and providing them with a premium moving service! Moving is hard, but as a mother of three, I understand the difficult process of relocating with a family and am here to simplify the process. I know there is many reasons for moving… all of which come with obstacles and I am passionate about helping you throughout. From the preparations before, to the moving day and beyond, I am available to assist you anytime. As a consumer too, I put myself in your shoes and I treat my customers the way I would want to be treated. It was important to me to create a simple pricing system with no hidden fees or unexpected surprises. We also are careful not to over book or over promise. Every member of FCM proudly stands behind their work and is committed to our customer’s positive experience. A key factor to our success is our hiring and training standards.
