Citrus Computers has been my go-​to tech support people for a number of years, and I’m real pleased with their service. The shop is located on Ehrlich Road right across the Upper Tampa Bay Trail from Ballyhoo seafood restaurant. If you’re heading east on Ehrlich, then turn in next to the little white building just past Ballyhoo’s. If you’re coming from the west then you’ll need to wind around to get there.
When you bring in your laptop or desktop, the techs will troubleshoot the problems while you stand there. In some cases they are able to resolve your issues on the spot, while in other cases they’ll write up a trouble ticket and give you a written estimate of time and costs. They’re great about calling with progress reports, and then calling to let you know that your machine is back up and running. Take that Geek Squad!
I recently purchased a new tablet and a new laptop, and dropped them off with the guys at Citrus Computers to transfer the data off of my old system, and to finish installing and tweaking all of the new software. No major issues, and less than 3 days to get everything done.
We’ve used these guys to do some network cabling and configure our server farm at the office, and again they’ve been terrific.

Used this company for several laptop repairs and purchased a laptop & desktop from them. Customer service was always good. The last two repairs customer service has been TERRIBLE. I had to call literally DOZENS of times, all calls went unreturned, and no one ever reached out to me. The company verified my office phone number and email address, but never reached out to me through either method. They told me they «left messages» but could not tell me WHEN, and had no explanation when I explained that I can search my cell phone AND VoIP phone records and there are NO CALLS FROM THEM. For the last repair, after WEEKS they finally answered my call to give me a quote on repairing one problem — the computer was sent in with two problems with a note taped to it explaining both problems and all attempted solutions. It was weeks before I could get an answer on the second problem. When I had someone go to pick up the laptop they were told it was disposed of per the agreement — the agreement that I have never seen or signed. Will be taking my business elsewhere and would NOT recommend.

Quick and easy, this place is not. The website for Citrus Computers claims «most repairs performed in our facilities are completed within 48 hours.» This seemed good enough to me and the guy on the phone was friendly, so I brought in my laptop for a simple hardware repair. The specialist seemed confident enough so I was satisfied with my decision. Several days later, I called to check on the progress only to be informed that my computer not yet been serviced. OK, fine. When I finally picked it up, it seemed to be alright but the problem resurfaced a few hours later. I took it back in, and once again did not hear from them for a few days until I finally called myself. Not surprisingly, I was once again informed they «misplaced» it and it would be serviced soon. When I came back in, the problem had indeed been fixed but I was frustrated with the whole ordeal. On the bright side, they didn’t charge me for the second repair, which I appreciated (but also expected).
In my opinion, it’s not the customer’s job to remind a company to do their job… twice in a row! I can understand bringing it in again to take a second look and reinforce the solution. No company is perfect and not everything is fixed perfectly the first time around. But the second time, service should be expedited if you want to retain your customers. Especially when it takes much longer than 48 hours the first time around.
If you’re OK with mediocrity and have a week or two to spare, bring your broken computer here. I’m giving two stars rather than one because the prices are fair, especially when out of warranty– but you indeed «get what you pay for.»
