Cab Plus

These folks fantastic. Picked us up Tampa Airport. Went to St Pete, Treasure Island Resorts. Blast. Great music & had water on board. Driver was Eye Candy too.

Used this cab company when my family was taking a trip to see friends. Very helpful, excellent courteous service and they provided a car seat. Cars were clean and drivers were on time in both directions. Two thumbs up.

I have used Cabplus in the past for overflow. The drivers that I use are very professional and courteous to my customers. When I call the company the dispatchers take the information and send out a driver that is capable of handling my customers in a very professional manor. My customers are special and deserve only the best. Mistakes do happen. But the entire company should not be blamed for the mistakes of one person. I like to recognize a few of their drivers that I have used, such as Dennis, Tony Z, Ira, Corey, Michael S, Walter, Emad and many others. I will continue too use this service and recommend this service to others. Should you have any problems call Stephanie. When you call the company tell them that DAN THE CAB MAN sent you.

After a harrowing experience with Tampa’s yellow taxi service I knew I’d rather walk my butt to the airport than do that again. It was last minute but I needed to get picked up from the Aloft hotel I was staying at early in the a.m. for my flight back to Chicago. If I had seen the bad reviews on Unilocal I probably wouldn’t have called this company, but Google had given them a much higher rating so I took a chance and I’m so happy I did. KAMAL showed up early and helped me with a smile. He was very interesting to talk to and I enjoyed my ride very much. The car was immaculate, the drive was smooth, and the service was perfect. At such an affordable price I would recommend everyone ask for Kamal. When I’m in town again I won’t consider anyone else. Thanks again Kamal!

I called Cab Plus to schedule an airport ride the night prior to my departure. While arranging my 5am pickup I mentioned that I would be traveling with skis and confirmed with the scheduler that it would not be a problem.
The next morning my cab arrived 15 minutes late, pulled up to the wrong address, and was unprepared to accommodate my luggage. This caused a further 5 minute delay while we attempted to fit my skis into a car whose back seat would not fold down. The driver mentioned I was his first fare, so his tardiness was apparently borne of his inability to get to work on time, rather than a result of complications with a previous customer.
The route he took was 25 minutes longer than an alternate path I found on google maps once we hit traffic. This wouldn’t be an issue if it was unforeseeable traffic caused by an accident, but it was due to construction that, according to the closeout signs, had been underway for at least five days. I don’t believe I’m out of order in expecting a cab company or their drivers to be aware of major construction along one of the two major routes from downtown Tampa to the airport, especially when the ride was scheduled in advance.
The driver also made what sounded like a brief, but personal call on his cell phone during the ride. It’s possible I just had a bad driver on a bad day, but as one should not have to play roulette with their travel plans, I cannot recommend this business.

I use Cab Plus ALL the time. There are several cab options around, but I never liked the cars that picked me up. One day I decided to try Cab Plus, and have never gone back. The price is pretty much the same as a stinky Yellow Cab, but it is a nice Town Car with a great driver. If you need a ride somewhere, don’t even think of anywhere else. All the drivers are great, and Stephanie in dispatch is fantastic. If you know your time and can call to reserve your car earlier, make sure you do it– especially on a Saturday or busy event day.

Worst cab ever!
I’m a frequent flyer and take a cab twice a week to and from the airport. I read good reviews about Cab Plus and booked a cab for early Monday morning (5 AM). These guys call me up at 1 AM on Sunday night to confirm the reservation (Yes, they except me to be awake). I did not answer the call (Oh pardon me, some of us do sleep).
It gets better — I call up at 4:45 AM to confirm that a cab guy is picking me up. The lady on the call tells me — «I called you up last night, you told me point blank that you did not make a reservation and that you had no idea what I was talkin about». Me: «Wait, what?! Was I talking in my sleep?» Then I realize that I had a missed call, so I DID NOT talk to anyone, I have no idea what she was talking about. Anyhoo, thank you Cab Plus for this — never making another reservation with you again. Let’s just hope I don’t miss my flight now.

At first I thought I got a great deal so I asked for the same driver for the 2^nd time I needed a ride. I found out that he took an extra long way to a destination and way over charged me. I had no idea since I wasn’t a part of the state, let alone the area. I found this out when I had called another taxi service. I should have checked Unilocal,but these people were originally used from my hotel. I think someone got a kick back. Live and learn.

We were supposed to be picked up for the airport. They didn’t show up. When we called, they said that five cabs had broken down and that they were going to send another taxi company, which they did not do. Finally, 15 minutes after they were supposed to have arrived, we just took our car to the airport ourselves. This is not the first time they had failed to show up. We will not be using them again.

We have used cabs plus repeatedly for airport runs. Much nicer vehicles and well-​dressed drivers for the same price as the larger companies. Easy to reserve, always on time and willing to meet arriving flights.

I’ve used Cabs Plus without complaint for several years, mainly for airport transfers. But something has changed over last several months. The service infractions are serious: failure to show up for an early morning trip; no answer when called in; a driver who lied and said I was a no-​show when it was in fact he who failed to appear; a supervisor who is either powerless or apathetic; a driver who called to pester me about leaving earlier than requested then abandons me when I was three minutes late; and the icing on the cake was the apathetic supervisor giving up and suggesting I find another car service. It is this last infraction that I cannot abide. I’d recommend this service if you a) do NOT have early morning flights; b) do NOT care much about whether your driver will come collect you; and/​or c) do NOT need an explanation by a responsible manager about why any of this has happened. Otherwise, good luck.

Their professionalism and kindness is a treat! I flew in to TPA with my 6 month old daughter at 11:30pm and my driver, Ahmed, eased any concern I had about traveling on my own with her. Communicated via text when I landed, helped with luggage and carseat, clean and comfortable cab and great conversation to boot. Thank you Cab Plus.

I was in the Tampa area and was happy to know that there was a local cab service that would be able to help me out. I called ahead and asked them if there would be any issues with picking me up late at night from my hotel. They said no problem just call them up. When I actually went to call them at 3am they said the wait would be 1 hour. After a while they called back and just said they wouldn’t be able to make it.
There was a reason I called ahead!

I called twice. First time I was on hold for 12 minutes. I hung up, called again and was put on hold again. I had to call someone else, and ended up being late. Not happy.
That was my experience with Cab Plus.

Car was leather throughout and exceptionally clean. I called for service at westshore mall and taxi arrived within 10 minutes. Driver was friendly and was knowledgeable of the area. Would recommend to others.

These guys are pros.
They take credit without a hassle.
Their cars are always clean with leather interior.
Their prices are around the same prices as taxis… in fact you can catch them around town in a similar fashion to a typical yellow cab… i.e. $ 5 rides.
Or you can use them for airport transfers or dinner reservations. It is a lot cheaper than a town car service and just as nice.
Or who knows? You may have a soft spot for vinyl seats with a tinge of vomit.
