Brusters Real Ice Cream

The best option for frozen treats in the area. I come here and there are a lot of options! My favorite is the turtle sundae. I pick what kind of ice cream I like. It is usually butter pecan. They put everything together including the pecan and chocolate etc. It is so good.
There are outside tables and picnic tables, covered and not. There is no indoor seating here.

Delicious for pets and humans!
They are pet friendly with outdoor seating and offer free puppy sundaes (vanilla ice cream with waffle cone).

Need to train the afternoon staff on proper serving sizes. For two weeks, I have arrived after 6:30 and ordered the same exact thing — was served by a variety of people, and for two weeks it was presented exactly as expected and shown in the graphics. This afternoon I was early, and there was only one person manning the shop. He kept the customers waiting, while he was on the phone (personal) and then proceeded to serve as if we were an inconvenience. We were interrupting his afternoon. I ordered, and then asked if that was my correct order (it was anemic — I had had it for the last two weeks and this was not it). He insisted that it was, I said thank you, and walked away. If he is ever my server again, I shall not return.

I think the ice cream is good but not anything special. I have been here 2 times. I have had better gourmet ice cream flavors at other places. I also think it’s pretty expensive for the fact that the flavors are pretty mundane. This place isn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it amazing either. It’s definitely mediocre but if you’re having an ice cream craving this place fills the void. If you plan on coming back a few times get the stamp card. After 9 times, your 10 is free.

Good ice cream but expensive. A sundae with only one small scoop of ice cream was just $ 5.54. The soft ice cream place down the street is a much better value for a larger portion and only about $ 3.50.

I’m not sure how you can really go wrong with ice cream. I know there are places that are not great. But this place is good. Bring the pup get a puppy treat. Only down fall is seating can be tight at times. Give it a shot! I guarantee there are worse places out there.

Asked a friend who lives local where to go for ice cream near our hotel (near USF) and Brusters came highly recommended — and for good reason.
You order at a window and can enjoy your ice cream outside in one of the few tables. They have a wide selection of flavors, shakes and sundaes. Kids loved the Dino sundae with a tasty Dino cookie. Cake batter was really good and the size of the singe scoop was very generous. Yummy, economical dessert fun!

Brusters has some of the best ice cream & I have been coming here for years. I usually get cherry vanilla, graham central station, or mint chocolate chip. One scoop is always plenty, and they have reasonable prices. There is no indoor seating, and no bathrooms, which kind of sucks. Employees are friendly, and service is ok (kind of slow sometimes.) Overall, great ice cream, and will continue to come here.

OMG!!! The many deserts I look forward to. The warm APPLE DUMPLING, can you say yuuummmmmmy. This place totally rocks from there shakes to the many ice cream flavors. I say eat diner and skip desert to come here after. Trust me you won’t regret it.

Finally checked this out after hearing many people rave about it so maybe I went with my expectations really high. The ice cream itself wasn’t very unique or special but the staff were extremely nice and the sizing was perfect. They have a bunch of flavors (and even more online!) so hopefully I get lucky the next time I go.

Some of my Unilocaliest friends have their regular visit this place a lot. The ice cream store give out the dog treat and the outside sitting is suitable for the dog.
Some Bruster’s Real Ice Cream has inside sitting, but this one is all outside sitting only. It is great during May and November when the weather is mild. Florida has too hot sun that beat up the pavement which preserve the heat will not play well for the outside sitting. The ice cream melts faster if you are not hurry. As a result I got my ice cream and sit in the car to enjoy it longer. Other reason is fighting with mosquito while you eating the ice cream outdoor. Other than that, I like the Bruster’s Ice Cream.
Bruster’s ice cream has many offers. Sometime they have buy one waffle cone get one free, Flag Day $ 1 ice cream, coupon to purchase, frequent visit punch card and more. Please check their web site for the offer.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good ice cream joint. I visit a lot to this place then any other place.

Brusters Real Ice Cream is a chain restaurant located off of Bruce B Downs in a strip center.
You go up to the window and order. There are tons of flavors to choose from. In a cup or a cone. As a sundae or smoothie. Take your pick and have a seat outside.
The husband and I split with Turtle. I wish we would have gotten a different flavor, the Turtle was good. Creamy, light on your tummy, and good!

How could I have not been here before? Brusters is located in the same little strip plaza mall next to Marco’s pizza.
Go up to the window and you will see tons of different ice cream options, sundaes, smoothies, banana splits. You can ask them for tastes of the flavors as well.
There are free ice cream options for the little kiddos and the spoiled fur babies in your life.
They have outside seating, tables, benches, shaded, non shaded.
Flavors are really good. I really liked the nutty coconut and mint fudge crunch. Lots of flavors are different than what you would see at other ice crram shops. Once you try it, you will want to come back over and over.
On Thursdays bring your own banana for half off banana splits.

Great ice cream and great service make this an excellent spot to cap off a nice meal or just fill in a fun afternoon. Love the Chocolate Raspberry truffle.

LOVE this place. I have frequented this multiple times in the past couple of years and it has never failed to bring a smile on my face. Yaayyyy to Banana Thursdays!

Good ice cream but terrible customer service. Let me explain. I received a coupon electronically that said Happy Birthday! You are entitled to a free waffle cone. To redeem show from a smart tablet or phone, or print. I drove 20 min. on my birthday to redeem it in my smartphone and was told my manager really wants the printed coupon. I might get in trouble for giving away free waffle cones. Really? !! I walked away and won’t be back.

I have given tried this place 3 times and I am just do not think the ice cream is very good! Last night I had a waxy build up on the roof of my mouth, that was extremely unpleasant. I find the ice cream is not very rich or creamy. The flavors are fine but the consistency is not premium quality. The serving size is very small which would be okay if the quality matched the price! Not worth the price.

Excellent ice cream. I may not know wine, but I know ice cream! Fresh creamy tasty flavored. Good size portions, no skimping here. Good service, decent prices for premium ice cream. My family and I are big fans. Once you try brustets you will be a fan too. Please tip the servers, they are very nice.

Small and I mean very small portions. OK taste. Nothing out of this world. Same price as cold stone. Worth trying once.

I was craving dessert at a place I hadn’t been before. Brusters fit the bill! The ice cream is so fresh. It tastes home made and the portions are huge! I like that Brusters has a ton of flavors that are somewhat unique, or completely seasonal, like peppermint (which is what I ordered). I even liked the butter pecan that my husband ordered, and I am not usually a fan of that flavor. We will definitely be visiting again.

I was in the area and craving ice cream. I searched Unilocal and found Bruster’s. This place has great flavors and a tremendous array of flavors. The staff was friendly and the ice cream delicious! The price is reasonable and portions are a little more than average. This by far beats your normal ice cream location, ie. Cold Stone, Baskin Robbins.

Excellent ice cream. Smooth and perfectly rich. The service was very friendly and we were all impressed that our server memorized all 6 of our very different orders.

I love visiting Bruster’s when I am in the area because the ice cream is so good and the service is pretty great! This time my sister had to get some to go and told the guy that I was visiting from St. Louis. He laughed and told her that whenever he visits St. Louis he always visits Ted Drewes! How fun!
I can’t say I have tried any other kind of ice cream from here-​but I have had a waffle cone once and that was pretty delicious too! The 1 scoop of ice cream is really large and so I don’t ever get too greedy.
Overall, I will go back and I can’t wait for my next Birthday!

This Bruster’s is top notch. Tucked away in a little strip mall, it’s simple and nothing fancy. You walk up and order at the window and walk away with your REAL ice cream. They have tables and benches for you to eat outside, but no inside dining or restroom. Plenty of flavors to choose from, as well as sundaes and other confections. Service is always wonderful, and they are very efficient and friendly.
One thing I love about this location is that it is always supporting the local schools. They do family/​school nights as fundraisers for the local elementary schools, where you can find the principals serving the ice cream and taking orders, with a portion of profits going to the school. Just a great family atmosphere. I have no complaints!

We’re crazy about this place. REAL ice cream. The staff is super friendly and nice, we like that. We’ve tried the strawberry shortcake sundae, banana split sundae, and the warm brownie sundae. All have been fabulous. Order one for two people, it’s more than enough, seriously. There is no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating. We usually finish our ice cream and then head behind the complex for a nice stroll next to the man made «lake» to burn off some of the calories and that «too full feeling.» ha! The ingredients they use are fresh and plentiful.

I always liked soft serve better, but Bruster’s has changed my mind a little. Good choices of flavors, although not as many as on their website. Toppings typical of any ice cream place. Nothing here stands out, however they do not need to, it is just simple very good ice cream

Bruster’s rocks! We wished we could own our own but not to make a business of it but merely because we could have Bruster’s ice cream whenever we wish to!
They have great deals of which they email to you. Two for one coupons are legendary at this Bruster’s.
It’s a shame that gross ice cream chains like Coldstone do better than this place. Americans tend to follow the masses instead of seeking quality. Tsk Tsk.
