Legacy Labradors

We’ve had our Labradoodle for about a month now, and are extremely happy with him! «Thor» is a great addition to our family. Our son picked the perfect puppy. The people at Legacy Labs (Kathie & Lindsay) were great– giving us all the information we needed, as well some excellent tips to help both Thor and us adjust to all the changes!

We purchased our precious Labradoodle puppy from Kathy June of 2015. This was the best decision we ever made. I had researched many breeders and am so grateful we found Legacy Labs. Chelsea is full of personality and in perfect health. Everywhere we go people fall in love with her and compliment us on how well behaved and beautiful she is. Kathy takes such great care of these puppies. Recently I was watching a video on Facebook and she heard Kathy’s voice. She ran over to the iPad and was licking it and wagging her tail with excitement. Kathy has even offered to have a gathering at her ranch to get some of the puppies together for a reunion. She is amazing and we are grateful she breeds these amazing puppies.

I purchased a labradoodle from legacy labs a couple months ago. He has really been one of the best dogs I’ve ever had — very smart, loving, and very good response to training (it’s almost creepy how quick he is at learning). He is very healthy, and I have had essentially zero problems since getting him from legacy labs. It is very apparent that Kathie cares very much about her dogs, and I have no doubt that it plays a part the quality of the dogs she sells. I would definitely get a dog from her again.

We purchased a lab from Kathie two months ago and it is the best purchase we have ever made. This is our first time being «parents» and we are very thankful to Kathie for answering all of our questions. Paisley is a well behaved (most of the time), active, and intelligent pup.

In response to Kathie’s commentary – I have since adopted a yellow lab rescue in my home that is a townhome actually – not a condo. He lives a very happy active life even without the acreage that I as a single female cannot yet afford or maintain. What I can provide is all the love and care a pet could ask for. My pup gets monthly meds like clockwork, regular check ups, and regular exercise outdoors. I love taking him places with me. He sleeps with me every night. I think it is important to remember that the individual providing the home and the home are not the same. A lot of people who have large yards don’t ever exercise their dogs and they spend some time running around the yard on their own but more often than not are laying under trees or on porches, etc. they never get walked. As a matter of fact, my lab was an owner surrender for «yard destruction» after his initial family simply left him in their yard all the time and he was dumped in a kill shelter infested with flies, maggots, fleas and HW+. Now he has a loving home where he is the center of my universe. He is flourishing. My townhome was inspected before I could even be considered for adoption and the DFW Lab Rescue gave their approval. My biggest issue with the points you responded with is that despite your initial dismissal of my interest due to my townhome, but then you were later receptive to a subsequent inquiry for a puppy and several times responded «ok then call when ready to make your deposit.» I can understand and appreciate worrying about placement of animals and believe me, I am one of the biggest animal lovers you could find, but it was only an issue initially then it didn’t matter. Yes, you privately reached out to me later but I did not feel there was anything further to discuss. I don’t really feel it changes anything about the manner everything was handled. I appreciate you taking my thoughts in to consideration and hope another loving home may be considered in the future despite initial judgment.

I purchased «Jake» about 18 months ago from Legacy. I have to say that Jake is the best dog ever. He is ridiculously smart, and everyone loves him. He’s never met a stranger, and always attracts a crowd when we go for walks. I was very impressed with Kathie and her attention to her dogs. She was very knowledgeable, and she genuinely cared about the welfare of her animals. Her place is beautiful, and all the dogs are happy and healthy. I even got to play fetch with Scarlett, Jake’s mom. I would highly recommend Legacy Labs to anyone looking. I dont think you could find a better person to get a dog from! I will happily buy another puppy from her in the future. They really do a great job.

We can not say enough wonderful things about Legacy-​Lab! We bought our beautiful, sweet, adorable baby from Kathie 4 weeks ago! We did not experience anything but positive, friendly, and sincere interactions. Kathie does love her babies and you can tell. Our puppy came very spoiled and we continue to spoil her even more! Our labradoodle is so sweet and kind! Our trainer at puppy class was so impressed how well socialized she is. We have recommended Kathie to some friends who have put down a deposit on one of her new babies. I would not hesitate to recommend Legacy-​Labs to anyone.
I have been in touch a couple of times since our purchase and Kathie continues to be very nice and helpful.

After searching long and hard for a labradoodle breeder within driving distance from our home we decided to give Legacy our business after all of the high praises we’ve read from others. Kathy was very accommodating with our schedule to pick up our doodle. I will say that once final payment is made it seems that you are no longer an important customer. Very slow replies, if any at all to texts and/​or emails. Often times had to send 2^nd messages days later because I was never sure they received my first one. Kathie is very aloof and unorganized I do give them credit for ensuring the health and vet exam for our doodle; however, after 2 weeks of having our puppy she had a terrible yeast infection in her ears that is costing me a hundred dollars + to treat. Be weary and really check over your puppy. I will not be recommending this breeder to anybody.

I purchased a Poodle from Legacy Labs to be a future stud dog. The dog came to be with the worst bite I have ever seen. He also had green snot coming out of his nose when he arrived and was flown to me in a broken crate. After having my vet look over the dog, we both concluded that this dog would make a poor stud dog because of all of his issues. I was very clear with Kathie before I purchased the puppy that I wanted a dog with a good bite and the puppy not only had a severe base narrow bite but he also had an overbite. The puppy was sent back to Legacy Labs within 48 hours of receiving it and Kathie refused to refund any money that I spent. If you are looking for a quality and healthy puppy, I would HIGHLY encourage you to not purchase from Legacy Labs. I now have no puppy and lost almost $ 4,000…

Kathy and her ‘babies’ are as good as they get! She really took the time to understand my families needs and was very patient with me as a new owner. Our new baby is the BEST! Thank you Legacy Labradors

We adopted a black and white labradoodle from Kathie and Russell at Legacy Labs. We are so in love with this little guy. He’s so sweet and laid back. Fits right into our home and loves our 12 year old cocker and 15 year old cat. I posted some pics of him with the cat. We searched for a lot of breeders and did not feel comfortable with many. We met Russell on a Saturday morning and he was out throwing the ball to one of their labs. That made me feel good about being there. They truly love these animals. It didn’t feel like a business as did with others we visited. Their home where these gorgeous babies are was just top of the line. We will be back for another hopefully not to far into the future. Thank you for keeping the dogs welfare first.

Our labradoodle is already 6 months old and we couldn’t be happier. Ace was such a wonderful addition to our family and we thank Legacy Labs for such a smooth process! We could not be more happy with our pup :)

I bought a white lab from legacy labs back in 2007. My lab is the best lab I have ever had. His mom is Pixie and dad is Legacy Maximum Millionaire. He is such a beautiful lab with a big block head. He cocks his head as if he is trying to figure out exactly what you are saying. He is also the most loving dog who shakes his whole body with excitement whenever you walk in the door. He talks to you in the sweetest way, it’s almost like singings. He is also the most gentle lab I have ever had. I don’t know a single person who has met him and not fallen in love. I would get another legacy lab in a heart beat.

I took home a red lab from «Legacy Labradors» 8 months ago and have never been happier with a decision. Kathie says her pure-​bred line of dogs are the most well-​behaved and most good-​looking dogs out there and after having one, I would have to honestly agree.
Our dog is truly the best. Not just to us, but justified by all friends and family.

Legacy labs has great service, great dogs, and takes great care and goes through extreme measures to make sure it’s dogs and customers are happy. I love my lab that I bought such a sweet dog and has a great temperament! I would recommend legacy labs to anyone interested in buying a white lab!
