Early has 45 years of experience in the food and restaurant industry
Early has been in the seafood business most of his life and has always had the innovative spirit to be successful in business. It was this spirit that drove Early to run one of the largest and most successful seafood processing businesses in the ‘70s and ‘80s as well as being one of the first to tray package their products, selling to over 13,000 grocery stores. Early acquired extensive knowledge through sourcing seafood and owning processing plants from Nicaragua to Taiwan. Major storms in the mid-‘80s destroyed four of his oyster plants. Early’s innovative spirit and determination helped him segue into the restaurant business. He created one of the most successful restaurants, winning highest ratings, major awards and accolades in major national magazines. Famous celebrities often frequented his restaurants. In 2009, he teamed with his son, Stephen, to create The Wharf Express, now known as Wharf Casual Seafood.
