History

Established in 2014.

In the early 1970’s, my grandfather purchased a small family owned Dairy Mart in Leslie, Michigan. The purchase included a recipe for «The Original Coney Sauce». A true Coney Dog is unlike any other, in all aspects;you won’t find another like it anywhere around these parts. This recipe is a guarded family secret that will soon be available for Tallahassee to enjoy! We also provide a large variety of Gourmet Burgers using 100% fresh ground beef on a locally baked bun. Come on out and try our signature Doghouse Burger.

Been really wanting to try this place since I found them on the Tallahassee Food Truck App.
Was not disappointed either. Got the Doghouse Burger and it was amazing. Super-​delicious, greasy burger that satisfied my appetite (and I’m 6’4″ 240lbs. with a big appetite). After seeing the rest of the menu, it looks like I’ll be back to try everything.
If you see these guys around, I recommend giving them a try…

Hand cut fries with dipping sauce were awesome. The coney island dogs were great. The buns were a tad over steamed. A great value $ 8 for 2 dogs fries and a drink, especially for a food truck. Pleasant folks serving up good. Looking forward to seeing them again

Its not bad just a little lackluster. I didnt get the bluecheese dressing on the poboy as advertised. Nothing about it tasted or seemed high qaulity. One would hope what a food truck saves in rent they are able to offer on the plate.

I choose this truck out of the lineup at Food Truck Thursday. I had never seen it before so I figured I’d give it a go! The truck definitely stands out with its red exterior – very reminiscent of a fire truck. The menu was pretty size able for a food truck, containing multiple hot dog choices, a good amount of burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and even po’boys. Their menu also indicated that all of their chicken is hormone free (yeah!).
I have a soft spot for a good hotdog, so I sprung for the double dog combo, which comes with two dogs, hand-​cut fries and a drink for 8 bucks! Can’t beat that! I chose the traditional coney with sauce, diced onions, mustard and beef. The dogs were both very juicy and the toppings were abundant. Nothing extra fancy or special, but they weren’t trying nor did they need to be. A nice char on the dogs would definitely have kicked it up a notch, although that wouldn’t be very traditional for a coney. The hand cut fries were good as well, being perfectly cooked and that right mix of crispy outside and creamy inside. They could have thrived with a bit of seasoning though!
Great first experience with this place and it definitely satisfied my hotdog craving: D. Not much more I could have asked for!
