I wrote a review almost a year ago and this is to add to it. We were told that the mole removal would be covered under the insurance, and the insurance was filed. The insurance paid but then Sherman Clinic changed the billing and added almost $ 70 to the bill and sent it to us around the first of Jan 2016. We were not happy they waited so long and that they changed the billing after the fact, but we wrote the check. Now the fun part. We brought the check and inquired about the charges and they gave us a BS answer that had no meaning. I didn’t want to argue. We gave them the check on the 7th of Jan 2016 and it’s now the 19th and they still have not cashed the check. We went to Sherman Clinic and asked why. They were jerks about answering and I told them that it’s been 2 weeks and asked when they would deposit the check. Again I got a BS answer and I just looked away and the clerk said to me: «DON’T ROLLYOUREYESATME, I KNOWWHOYOUARE» and then she walked back in to another room and came out and said the check would be deposited on Saturday. if you really think this practice is kind with people, you might reconsider. We paid and just tried to make sure we had our insurance filled out correctly by the clinic and they have been hostile each step of the way.

I would never step foot in this clinic. My son was going there for three weeks with an issue that they failed to properly diagnose. They kept prescribing medication to control the itching without realizing what the real issue was. Needless to say how much pain and suffering he was in.

Great place. Been coming here for three years, always treated right by all staff, especially doctor Sherman who’s a cool guy.

My review is so low because of the extreme discomfort and pressure I felt after visiting the clinic only one time last year. I was suffering from a severe eczema breakout, and I knew I needed immediate attention. As an FSU student, I had never seen a doctor in Tallahassee before, instead I just went back home to Gainesville for medical appointments. I met with Ms. Redd, who assured me what I had was psoriasis, not eczema. After saying, «this just doesn’t look good» about my skin, she told me I needed to come back to begin undergoing biologic treatment. She told me that I had very few other options, and that she did not think anything else would work. She then gave me a prescription for Prednisone and instructed me to set up an appointment to get my first injection, even though I told her I was extremely uncomfortable with the idea of receiving an immune-depressing steroid. I ended up not making the appointment(aside from my personal concerns, the treatment can cost up to $ 10K), but instead went to a dermatologist in Gainesville. He performed a skin biopsy, which showed that I did not have psoriasis, but eczema, as I told the nurse initially. He was in disbelief that any medical professional would begin such a risky treatment as biologics without the consultation of a doctor, and at the very least, a skin biopsy to guarantee the patient was not being treated for something he/she did not have, as I would have been had I followed Ms. Redd’s advice. He suggested I stop taking my birth control pill, which I had begun about two months before my big breakout. Within days the rash went down by 80%, and six months later, it is still manageable with topical creams. I felt compelled to leave this comment after seeing Duelcitizen B.‘s comment, where they mention how Ms. Redd takes her time with patients and thoroughly researches treatments before going forward. I am sorry to say that was not my experience. I am truly glad to hear that the Sherman Clinic worked for this reviewer, I know how horrible it can be to suffer from skin problems. That being said, I have never returned to the Sherman Clinic, and I will not be recommending them to anyone in the future.

This clinic is hands down the best in Tallahassee. I have suffered from acne and keloids and Dr. Sherman and nurse Redd have helped me to overcome these two horrible obstacles. I have been going to this clinic for about ten years and I have always felt like a member of the family. What I like about Sherman clinic is that they really familiarize themselves with the patients and they never do anything that isn’t in the best interest of the patient even if the patients wants something that isn’t best for their own quality of treatment. Nurse Redd takes her time with her patients and researches any and everything before going forward with treatments. I think that is why any problems I have ever had are no longer existent. I can only speak for myself when I say that this is the only skin care clinic I trust and, I believe they provide the best treatments and healthcare in town. Once you go to this clinic you will never want to step foot into another skin care clinic.
