Steve is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family mediator in Tallahassee who specializes in divorces by mediation to help couples obtain an uncontested divorce without the tremendous expense of attorneys. Divorce by mediation will cover the issues necessary for a divorce (parenting, division of assets and debts, child support, alimony, etc.) in a manner that allows the couple to decide the outcome of these issues instead of a judge. A complete divorce service is offered that includes preparation and filing of all required docuents with the court. All you have to do is attend the final hearing. Divorce/​Family mediation services are available thorugout North Florida.

Steve has been mediating cases since 1994 with over 1,500 cases mediated in 17 years. Steve was a civil trial lawyer for approximately 30 years and brings that experience of working with people, understanding their problems and issues, preparing their cases for trial, and trying those cases, to his work as a mediator.

History

Established in 1998.

Mitchell Mediation Service was founded in 1998 after 25 years experience as a trial lawyer. I became certified as a Circuit Civil mediator in 1994. I provide mediation services primarily in Tallahassee and North Florida although I mediate foreclosure cases throughout the State of Florida. In 2009, I was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator. Mitchell Mediation Service handles virtually all types of family law mediations including, but not limited to divorce, marital settlement agreements, child custody and support, visitation and equitable distribution, with the parties either unrepresented (pro se) or represented by attorneys. I have been mediating cases since 1994 with well over 1,500 cases mediated in those 17 years. From 1976 – 1998, Steve was a shareholder in the firm of Granger, Santry, Mitchell & Heath, P.A. Mitchell Mediation Service was founded in 1998 after 25 years experience as a trial lawyer. Steve became certified as a Circuit Civil mediator in 1994. For five years his practice was limited to mediations until 2003 when Steve became partners with Ron Mowrey, at Mowrey & Mitchell, P.A. In 2009, Steve was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator. In May, 2009, Steve resumed Mitchell Mediation Service to again limit his practice to alternative dispute resolution. Steve has been mediating cases since 1994 with well over 1,500 cases mediated in 18 years. He handles virtually all types of family law mediations including, divorce, marital settlement agreements, child custody and support, visitation and equitable distribution, with the parties either represented by attorneys or unrepresented (pro se) — also known as a divorce by mediation or divorce without lawyers.
