Take whatever misfit piece of clothing you have over there as soon as you have the chance. While not as ‘cheap’ as a seamstress working outta their house might be, they’re by no means expensive and they do quality, quick work. They’ll turn around a hemmed and tapered pair of slacks in 24 hrs without a rush fee added. Plus they’ll take your measurements as quick as a hummingbird and with as much accuracy (yeah that’s a thing… I mean hummingbirds have to be very accurate right?! I would presume) that their years of experience being.
They’ve been in the Tallahassee area over 6 years (since they’ve been in Park Ave location that long) and I’m sure will be around for a lot longer.

Unfortunately, in Panama City we don’t have any tailors, just seamstresses. That’s one thing when you’re repairing a button, but sometimes you need an honest to god TAILOR. Well folks, Helga’s is the real deal.
Vinod at the Park Avenue location is a master of his craft. He understands fit and is used to clothing professional men and women and all others too. Helga’s is fast and fairly affordable given the quality of the work. He will work with you and has never failed to do a top-​notch job. They also offer services I have trouble finding elsewhere (lots of «tailoring» services can’t get beyond hemmed pants and sleeve adjustments). If he can’t do it, it probably isn’t worth getting done.
I can’t recommend Helga’s enough. Tallahassee is lucky to have a top-​notch outfit like this outfitting the townspeople. I give Helga’s as hearty a recommendation as I ever have for any business.

Needed a piece altered but because of the design it was best that it wasn’t I didn’t catch the guys name but he was up front and honest I will definitely be back. I also had a hole in a skirt sewn up you couldn’t tell where he had done it.

I took my mother’s wedding dress to get altered for my wedding. The dress was originally hand stitched by my grandmother 30 years ago.
The result was INCREDIBLE! Better than I could have ever imagined. They knew exactly what to do in order to cover up the alterations.
I went far before the date I needed, thinking it would take forever to take care of the changes, but everything was done in a week.
I will definitely be returning for any alteration needs.

Helga’s far surpassed our expectations, and on such short notice — we couldn’t be happier. Also, their prices are extremely competitive as well. I can’t recommend them strongly enough and will use them exclusively for my tailoring needs.
