We offer Karate, Combat Hapkido and Lil’ Dragon classes with a flexible schedule to meet almost any schedule.

History

Established in 2011.

Burke’s Karate Academy was founded in 2011 and is a satellite school of Master Thinh Nguyen’s Silkisondan Karate. Burke’s Karate Academy is personally certified and accredited by Master Thinh Nguyen and the International Silkisondan Karate Association.

Business Owner

Sensei Burke began training in martial arts in 1981 at the age of 12.

Graduated from St. Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia in 1986.

Joined the US Marine Corps in 1987. He is a combat veteran and was honorably discharged in 1995 at the rank of Sergeant.

He graduated from Florida State University in 2000.

Has trained in several different martial arts but is a 4^th Dan in Silkisondan Karate. Silkisondan Karate was founded by Master Thinh Nguyen and is an excellent, well rounded self defense system.
