History

Established in 1964.

Bevis Funeral Home was founded in 1964 by Russell R. Bevis, and remains an independent family owned funeral home. Rodney J. «Rocky» Bevis has worked in or been around the funeral business his entire life, and in 1998 along with his wife Patti, acquired the funeral home from his father. Much has changed in the 45 plus years since Bevis Funeral Home was founded. We have acquired funeral homes in Bristol and Crawfordville to serve a wider area. We have hired a staff unique in their heritage– they are native to the communities we serve. Constant in our evolving history is our committed to providing caring, compassionate service to the families of our community. That committment is our duty at Bevis Funeral Home.
