History

Established in 2010.

Davey & Marilyn have been very involved in their seven children’s activities throughout the years and they’ve managed to turn their love of family into a successful party planning and catering enterprise. We know from experience how difficult it can be to plan a wedding and wedding receptions, organize a fundraiser, coordinate an office holiday or birthday party, or keeping your family reunion focused on the family and not on the details.

Business Owner

Davey has been living in Tallahassee since 1971 and is married to his wonderful wife of 17 years Marilyn. They have 7 children and 6 grandchildren. Davey has been in the Financial Service Industry for 31 years. Davey has coached several youth league sports over the years and became involved with Fund Raiser’s. In doing so he became interested in the Boston Butt Fundraiser’s that you might be familiar with. We were asked to provide dinner and Hors d’œuvre for several Wedding Reception’s so in 2010 2^nd Helpin Catering LLC was formed. That’s right there’s no g on the end of Helpin. Davey comes from a long line of Southern cooks and use’s a lot of the recipe’s handed down from generation to generation. That doesn’t mean that we can’t provide the what Davey calls the Phoo Phoo Food. Whether your desire is Peach Glazed Smoked Salmon, Chicken Carbornora, to South Georgia Bar B Que. We provide the taste that your guest will prefer and we guarantee that they will want a 2^nd Helpin.
