History

Established in 1990.

Sunday Afternoons was born right here in the Rogue Valley over two decades ago. Back then business was run out of a living room with 0 employees, no storefront, and just one product (A waterproof outdoor picnic blanket). In 1995 the then owner and current company president invented the Adventure Hat. It was sun protective, lightweight, technical, and proved to be the most innovative sun blocking head-​wear on the market and Sunday Afternoons’ bestseller. The Adventure Hat was subsequently patented and is still Sunday Afternoons’ most recognizable product. Following the success, sun protection became the main theme of the company. Sunday Afternoons now specialize dermatologist approved sun protective hats, clothing, and other active lifestyle gear. As Sunday Afternoons continues to evolve, its family of workers stay connected to their small-​town roots, and commitment to friendly, one-​on-​one customer service.
