I have nothing but good things to say about this gem coming from San Francisco I was surprised I’ve never felt like my hair was in better hands I had two stylist work on my blonde balayage both where extremely talented with there techne they where also very efficient so I didn’t have to spend all day there and it was just what I was looking for! My hair hasn’t looked this good in forever! I wanted to go somewhere that was not only good at balayage but also blonde hair really cute and clean salon right on the water! I’m going to try and wait as long as I can because I really don’t want to go anywhere else now LOVE YOU! XOXO

Debbie did an incredible job styling my Mom’s hair for my daughter’s wedding. She made my Mom feel so important and she looked like a star when she left! She got compliments all evening long.

I made an appointment for my mom, my friend and myself to get blow outs when we were in Tahoe for a wedding. I got a call the day before and she said she could fit all three of us in at 11. Since we had a time crunch, I clarified that we could all come at 11. She said that one person might have to wait a few minutes but that we would all be done by 12.
We got there the next day and only one person could be taken at 11. I was fit in around 11:30 and my friend went right after me. We didn’t leave until close to 1.
The staff was super friendly and I wish that I could give this place a better review but all three of us were disappointed with our results. My hair (which I attempted to have done with loose curls) was flat by 2:30. I ended up having to curl it myself right before the wedding. My mom’s was the same.
Based on other reviews it may have just been too busy for us to be in there and get the results we were hoping for (there were a number of other people there for the same wedding), but I wish they had said that instead of booking us when they were clearly unable to accommodate 3 people.

Best blow-​dry and hair highlight ever! I love this place and will always get my hair done here whenever I am in Tahoe.

These folks are super helpful and accommodating — and my wife’s hair looked great! Parked on the street and their location overlooks the lake and is right next to the lake trail.

My husband and son just the best haircuts I’ve seen them get in a long time. I got an appointment easily with both of their cuts happening at the same time. I couldn’t have asked for a couple of nicer people doing us this great favor of cutting their mops in time for us to be able to enjoy a hike in the afternoon. The salon looks cute and has a beautiful view of the lake to boot. If you’re waiting for someone to get their hair done, you can shop at Dave’s, have a smoothie at Syd’s Bagelry, or just hang out and enjoy the lake. We are definitely making this the new place the men and boys in the family get their hair cut.

I turned up without an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. The owner cut my hair and did an awesome job. He worked with what my hair does by itself. He kept is simple and didn’t try to make it look artificial, overly complicated, or give me a style that didn’t fit. I really appreciated that. (I’m naturally graying, and my hair is a bit wild.) He *really* knows what he is doing, and brings passion and artistry to what could be a simple hair-​cut. The place is also beautiful — small but cozy, tastefully designed (by the owner), with a wonderful, laid-​back vibe. Unlike high-​end salons that sport a lot of attitude, but don’t deliver as far as good service and quality, Bove is the real deal.

Jillian took great care of me after my wife tried to cut my ears off and scalp my pour little hair. Jillian really shaped, snipped and fixed me up for a wedding I’m going to tomorrow. I would recommend this beautifully remodeled place to anyone who really wants to be treated like a king and enjoy a high end hair cut or style. Thanks so much I will be back soon!

Love this place !!! Stopped in with a friend for a last minute blow dry and style before her wedding ! We had such a great time and walked out looking fabulous !!! I will definitely be back next time I am in town. The prices were reasonable and the experience was outstanding. I was very impressed with the salon appearance and the quality of the stylists. The bride and I were so happy with our hair and even more pleased with the experience !!!

While walking through beautiful downtown Tahoe City, I saw a sign for the Bove’ Blow Dry Bar. Fantastic find! The atmosphere is classy, great location and wonderful people. I had my shampoo and blow dry done by Jillian, but I feel confidant that any stylist you get will be a perfect fit. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to go back!
