We had a great experience working with Yellow Bird Catering! My fiancée and I are getting married near family in New England, but wanted to celebrate with our local friends in Tacoma. It was a great party, the taco bar was delicious, and Gwen and her staff were awesome! Everyone was getting seconds on food and enjoying themselves. We also appreciated all of their flexibility and quick responses to email!

Yellow Bird catered my birthday party last night. Gwen helped us put together the menu, and it was fabulous. She and her staff showed up early to set up, the food was top notch, and cleaned up afterwards. We chose a taco/​fajita bar, and it included all the fixings. I would strongly recommend Yellow Bird for any event– I know we are already planning another party.

Gwen, you are an amazing caterer! Thank you! Yellow Bird Catering catered a buffet for my wedding and everything worked out perfectly. I was having a difficult time finding a caterer that was reasonable and willing to work with me. I kept getting frustrated by caterers by their lack of flexibility to get the meal we were wanting. That all changed when I talked with Gwen. She was friendly, understanding and willing to work with me. Her prices were reasonable and as soon as I said «wedding» she didn’t charge her demeanor like the other caterers did. My reception had 200 guests and almost everyone of them complemented the buffet. I don’t know how else to explain how satisfied I was… great food, great customer service, and reception dinner that went off without a hitch. I am so thankful I found Yellow Bird Catering!

Yellow Bird catered a dinner party for me, but I had a range of dietary needs. Yellow Bird worked with me to serve food in such manner that guests could easily choose to enjoy a dinner that was either vegetarian or included meat. I wanted to avoid the cost of offering multiple entrees, so Yellow Bird modified an entrée (Alfredo pasta with blackened chicken) to accommodate all my guests and helped keep my expenses very reasonable. Most importantly, the meal was delicious and was set up beautifully. This was a fundraiser event so I needed my guests to enjoy a decadent meal — mission accomplished!
Later, I recommended Yellow Bird to my employer for our annual employee breakfast. Yellow Bird prepared a broad selection of breakfast items — biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sliced fruit, potatoes, eggs, and breakfast meats. Everything was delicious!
I’ve seen Yellow Bird prepare two very different meals and both were excellent. In addition to the deliciously prepared food, they are willing and flexible to work with you to create the event YOU want. I highly recommend Yellow Bird Catering.

We used Yellow Bird Catering for our wedding reception. While it was mainly a potluck, we wanted certain things done professionally. Since our theme was Summer BBQ, Gwen (owner) agreed to make 20lbs of Mac-​n-​Cheese which was AMAZING! I know Mac-​n-​Cheese may not sound glamorous and sophisticated but that is how good this was. Creamy, gooey, crunchy and delicious made with penne noodles instead of the standard elbow macaroni.
Our guests all raved about the Mac-​n-​Cheese and several asked «Who made this dish of deliciousness?!» The business cards we had on hand flew into our guests pockets as quickly as they could. We will absolutely use Yellow Bird Catering again for our next party.
