History

Established in 2014.

I founded Van Ackeren, P. S. in 2014 to provide for the legal needs of Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, & Coast Guard service members, veterans, and their families. As a former service member, who was trained by former JAG, Lt Cmdr. Charles Swift I provide a unique civilian military attorney’s perspective. I served as an enlisted member, not an officer, but my experience working and learning from Charlie Swift has taught me more knowledge and provided me more experience than any fresh out of law school JAG lawyer. I have experience dealing with military divorces in Washington State, boards for corrections of military records, nonjudicial punishment under article 15, security clearances, nonjudicial punishments, and much more.
