Such a great school. They gave me a ton of money to come here and the staff are available and helpful. Great CSS program as well.

I really love everything about this school. I was worried that the quality of education might be lacking since it’s not the main Seattle campus, but all of the instructors I had at UWT were highly qualified, effective, and genuinely invested in their students. I feel like this location offers University of Washington quality education with the added advantage of one-​on-​one help and student-​teacher interaction. Smaller class sizes have been fantastic. I’m kind of sad that I’m done there now– it’s been a great two years.

This Campus as super diverse, really fun, and most of all a challenging learning experience. Proud to be Alumni. GO DAWGS!

Now that i’m in my senior year here, i feel that i have a good understanding how this campus works. I regret deciding on this school because the education falls very short of its reputation. Most of the professors seem to spend more time on research and getting published than actually educating students. I’ve seen recycled tests being used to the point where not only were questions exactly the same as on assigned hw, but the numbers didn’t even change, making the final exams just a matter of memorizing the numbers. There are a couple qualities to this campus but they are heavily out numbered by aspects that actually matter when getting a reputable education.

This is a great school! I’m in my senior year and it has been nothing less than great. The instructors are very respectable and the courses offered are remarkable.

It is only my first quarter attending UWT and I love it so far! Most of the classes are 2 hours long twice a week. I like how I can modify my schedule to where I would go to campus only 2 days out of a week. With a full time work schedule, that aspect of the school is definately a plus for me. As far as classroom sizes, the most students I have in one class right now is 40. It gives you an opportunity of one on one time with the professors; who are wonderful by the way.
The entire school itself can be described as a small community. The students and faculty are very inviting and helpful. The commute isn’t so bad either… If you’re coming from the North, the commute is very smooth because the traffic is going the opposite direction. I’ve found that parking my car at the Tacoma dome station parking garage (which is free parking), then taking the link light rail (which drops you off literally in front of the campus in as little as 5 minutes) is the best option for parking.
My only small aggravation with the school is the limited number of classes offered. But what should I expect for a small school? Its a beautiful campus and easily navigatable. Overall, my experience has been awsome and I’m proud to say I am part of the UWT community. When I graduate in 2 years, I’ll post another review to let you all know about my entire experience!

Tacoma’s University of Washington campus takes up a good sized chunk of real estate right in the heart of downtown– and it’s a good thing, too!
This area used to be nothing but a run-​down, filthy, and dangerous area full of abandoned (or abandoned-​looking) old buildings. The University has managed to keep many of the historic structures intact while cleaning up the exteriors and modernizing the interiors. Beautiful landscaping, great views of Mt. Rainier and downtown Tacoma, nice artwork throughout the campus, easy access to the Link light rail, several museums, restaurants, and bars nearby… it really has been transformed into a vibrant and inviting setting for learning!
