The gallery’s mission is to encourage creativity and an understanding of quality handcrafted art through its retail shop and pottery programs. The fully equipped pottery studio offers adult pottery classes for beginners to more advanced ceramic artists. In a 6-week instruction class, students are taught at their level of experience in using the pottery wheel and hand building techniques.
Throwing Mud Gallery offers fine crafts uniquely created for artful living. In addition to handcrafted functional pottery, other crafts and gifts by select local and regional artisans are available. Each item, from the beautiful jewelry to fine wood, glass, clay and much more, is a high quality art piece carefully created by hand.
Now Open! «Paint your own pottery» studio. Customer choose one of our bisqued pottery items and paint it. The finished pottery is ready to pick up in 7 days. It’s a great activity for girlfriends, bring your kids or your date or come on your own. No experience required!
History
Established in 2011.
Throwing Mud Gallery is owned by Mark and Eileen Hudak. Mark has been a full-time studio potter for almost 30 years and has been sharing his passion for ceramic arts by teaching pottery classes for about 5 years. For years they had talked and dreamed about opening a pottery school and retail gallery, and in 2011 decided to take the jump.

Business Owner
Mark has been a full-time ceramic artist for almost 30 years. Together with his wife, Eileen, they’ve been selling pottery in the Pacific NW for over 25 years at many of the high quality juried arts and crafts fairs and local galleries.
