We just stopped at this Taco Time with 5 teens on our way to a state Thespian conference. Dustin the young man at the counter was very kind and helpful. He brought all of our orders out to our table and even came back later to check on us and see if there was anything else we needed. His customer service was second to none! When it was time to compost our items he came over to make sure we didn’t need any assistance. As we exited the restaurant the kitchen staff came out and said good bye to our group. It was the nicest fast food experience I have ever had.

This was my first visit to Taco Time. After dining there, I really don’t see myself coming back. Ordered a chicken burrito. There was way too much sour cream and guacamole. The off beat ratio between ingredient made the texture awful. Plus, the salsa tastes like it’s out of a jar. My boyfriend ordered the mexi platter. For what these two combos cost, we could have gotten much better quality somewhere else. Your tacos, burritos, etc. come with tater tots??? I’ll agree that they’re nicely crisp, but still not the appropriate side to Mexican food. Don’t waste your time with this place. Those who enjoy Taco Bell wouldn’t even like this place.

Drove out to Tacoma to meet my boyfriend for his lunch break. Not wanting to go to far from his work place, we settled on this place. This was my first time ever eating at Taco Time so I just followed my bfs lead and ordered the same thing he did. We both got a soft chicken habanero burrito, a drink, and a side. Drink machine was really cool. Lot of variety to pick from. The side I had was a small bowl of chili. Average tasting and wish it came out hotter(in temperature and taste). The burrito though! Lots of flavor, tender chicken, and a really nice spicy habanero salsa in it. Would definitely recommend this to any spice loving, habanero and bean eating, burrito enthusiast.

I was expecting something like Taco Bell because I had never been to taco time before. I was really happy to find this place because it’s amazing! They are environmentally conscious which makes me happy. Most of their products can be turned into compost and they have recycled plastic. The food is also really delicious for fast food and they have vegetarian options! I got the #8 which was the Baja taco. I got the bean one because I wanted to try the veggie version. It was filling and the salsa was fresh. I’ll be back again: D

The service was quick, the ingredients seemed fresh, and the food wasn’t loaded with salt to cheaply enhance flavor the way it is in so many fast food places. The prices are certainly reasonable. I wasn’t pleased with the soft tacos however. You get a double layer of flour tortillas, which translates to a mouthful of dough. I tried removing one of the layers of tortilla, but the things then just fell to pieces as I was eating them– nearly half the ingredients broke away and tumbled out as I tried to outpace the work of gravity. With decent crisp shells or fresh corn tortillas these problems could be avoided. I can’t speak to the other menu items, maybe they are better.

Food is great. Staff is friendly. Drive thru is so slow! Definitely go inside if you don’t want to spend 15 minutes waiting.

Interior is really nice and fully updated. The entrance and parking is awkward. The food was really good and hot. Food came out super fast! Didn’t even have my drink filled before they had the food ready.

Taco Time is my favorite fast food place but I just got a side order or rice and found a hair in the bottom of it, I attached a picture as well. The only reason I didn’t rate this place with 1 star is because I’ve eaten here a couple times prior to this and everything was wonderful. I’m just really grossed out and disappointed right now.

So happy we finally have a decent and fresh fast food restaurant! Been here a few times and every time I get the same treatment, with every employee as well. I’m a very difficult customer with a big order, add this, no to this and light ice etc. Every time without fail they repeat the same order to me and it’s correct when I pull away. I honestly feel like I don’t need to double check my bag anymore! Great customer service and great food. I would recommend it to anyone!

The building is beautiful and super clean. We have eaten at a few Taco Time locations, Federal way, 19th and Mildred in Tacoma, and now 38th Street in Tacoma. I would rather visit any other location if you are talking about the food ONLY. I want to say again, the building is beautiful and super clean. I ordered the Regular size taco salad with chicken. Yummy and for me, a gastric bypass patient, it was the perfect size. My daughter loved her taco kids meal, but her mexi fries were so over cooked that there was NO softness in the middle of the tots. This is not cool at all. My older daughter ordered the tostada salad and it was ½ the size of the other locations for the same price. Why would the food here be so much smaller than any other Taco Time in the area? Strange.

Really busy and parking was difficult. The inside of this Taco Time is really nice, windows and high ceilings. The food was great, but it was a line up to get your drink filled. They have the new Coke machine that allows several 100 drink mix choices. Part of the slow down was the machine’s touch screen is not as responsive as it should be. Same problem at the S Tacoma store. The ladies room was clean(no paper towels :() and the tables were spotless. Service was adequate but I expect as the employees gain experience it will be the usual Taco Time Stellar. Yes, eat here! Great food and worth the trip. I’ll be back to see if the minor bugs have smoothed out so I may give it the usual Taco Time five stars. Oh, if your not familiar with Taco Time, they do the best job of being green of any fast food restaurant I’ve ever seen. Check out their composting program. Community Supportive too!

Really busy on grand opening day, but always fun and exciting to try places out on their first day open! Really love the interior of this taco time and the high ceilings are the perfect touch. Seems to be a popular choice for fast food places lately :) Anyways, employees were cheerful enough and food was about what most would expect! I work a block away, so this will likely become a popular choice :) I’ll update again after a few more visits!
