Doggie Daycare, Dog/​Cat Boarding, Puppy Patrol (Puppy let out and play) and Cat Patrol (care for cats in their home. We do offer Pet Taxi to established clients if they are unable to take them to the vet or groomer.

History

Established in 2010.

I started the business for two reasons; 1: for the love of animals and 2: I knew at some point I would be moving one or both of my parents into my home. In 2012 we went from Part Time to Full Time and have been running ever since. My mom live here and spends quality time outside with the Daycare and Boarding dogs when the weather is nice.

As the business has grown we have added security cameras to the facility, four of which the clients have access and a mega secure fence. The base of the fence has a concrete base two feet down so the diggers can’t escape. We also added K9 Grass, I call it Astro Turf for Dogs, in part of the yard.

Since we work and board out of my home, the clients have run of the backyard and two dog offices and decks.

I plan on keeping the business small, so I do not lose the personal touch with the clients.

My background is Search and Rescue/​Recovery, EMT. Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. With this information I do treat my clients as if I was in one of these modes. I would say the most important skill is the Sports Medicine – being able to scan the field, watch the play and monitor the accident and possible injury (ex. football). With that knowledge, the next step would be stabilize then transport.

I enjoy most outdoor activities at some time in my life, age and injuries have cancelled some out.

With this new profession I am able to be outdoors a lot and use my professional history as well.

I am certified with PSI (Certified Professional Pet Sitters) and NAPPS (National Association Professional Pet Sitters) both of which require CEU’S (Continuing Education Units), as did the previous professions.
