Paul’s 24 Locksmith

Not sure why the flagged review is flagged. It’s 100% accurate based on my most recent experience with this company. Do not call them, I repeat, do not.
Had the locksmith come out. He shows up in a brand new, unmarked black van. Thick accent, not that it matters. He starts trying to pick the lock. I ask about the price. He tells me it’s $ 229 to unlock, when I was quoted $ 29 and up over the phone, plus a $ 15 service fee. Tells me he has no control over what the dispatcher told me. Asks me what I can afford. We settle on $ 80.
I handed him my ID as I didn’t have cash on me and we agreed that I would go to the ATM after the job was finished so that I could pay him.
He couldn’t get through the first door so tries the other one. Gets in. I tell him there is another lock for my bedroom and he tells me that wasn’t part of the price. I told him I told the dispatcher how many locks there were. I tell him I’m not paying for him to do half the job, but he can’t pick the one upstairs anyways and I still refuse to pay him.
Mind you, he didn’t even have a pick gun. Told me his last one broke «5 minutes before he left» his last job. I said that’s absurd they would send you out on a call without the proper equipment; Let alone one single pick gun. I tell him twice to let me try and hand pick the lock myself and he just packs up and starts walking out.
He tells me if I did not pay him, I would not be getting my ID back. He threatened to call the police. I should have called the police. He leaves as I was not going to pay him anything… And would have been perfectly fine with locking up the house and calling someone else to do the job.
I called the dispatching service back twice and the driver eventually returned my call… With the same «you pay me or you’re not getting your ID back» spiel. That’s my experience with this company, first sponsored result shown by Google.

they suck!!! web site advertises $ 29 opening fee plus the $ 15 fine print service fee. Then when the guy shows up looks over the vehicle then calls the office they tell him the charge will be $ 214 which I refuse to pay so another call to the office and argument over the price and what their add says and she tells me that’s the minimum charge and I ask what qualifies for a minimum charge and she says they have to charge more because he will have to use his special tools a (rubber coated wire and an air bladder.) Isn’t that part of the service, or is he supposed to show up with no tools and be able to open it up with positive thinking. The lowest I could get her down was $ 60.00 which I still refused to pay. I think the whole deal was shady. My advise just don’t call them. There are plenty of honest business out there.

I have NEVER been so unhappy with a service in my life. I called this company at 5pm to come and rekey my locks, I saw that they had a special going that was $ 19 per lock with a service fee of $ 15. Sounded like a good deal! Thats where I was wrong.
I called and made my appointment and was told by the receptionist that «yes those are our prices and we have a guy close to you he will give you a call in about 15 minutes.» The tech «Dan» called me and told me that he was about 10 – 15 minutes away and that he would be at my house soon.
2 HOURS later and a few phone calls to the main number to try and figure out where this «Dan» guy was he finally showed up. Was high as a kite with blood shot eyes and couldn’t even keep them open for that matter. He was full of excuses as to why he was late, and was so unprofessional in the way he was dresses. (baggy jeans, wrinkly shirt… ect).
He looked at my locks and continued to push his was further into my home. (I felt as though he was scoping out the place). He told me that it was going to be $ 50 a lock to rekey my locks!!! I had three locks to rekey thats $ 150 plus $ 15 service charge! $ 50 because of how complex and how much time it takes to rekey them. I laughed and told him that is a joke and I am not paying that. The website said $ 19!
He then texted his boss and his boss wanted me to pay a $ 75 cancelation fee, that he then tried to talk down.$ 35…oh how bout $ 15. I told him NO and that he needed to leave.
Come to find out the best part… I have smart locks. It took the guy at Home Depot 5 seconds to rekey each lock and only charges $ 5 a lock.
I am glad that he didn’t rekey my locks. DONT ever use this company! Its a complete scam for your hard earned money! Plus who knows he could have kept a key and broke into my home later! NEVER AGAIN!!!
