Food is decent. Pool tables are great. Lots of league play, so if you’re just coming in to play a game, it can be tough to find an open table.

We found this place after finding infinite soups. They are very friendly and are OK with people eating soup from next door here. We ended up sharing a chicken club sandwich. My half was kinda messy (watered down ranch?), but overall was delicious. Nice people, nice service. Thank you!

The staff was really nice! That’s pretty much the only reason I gave this place two stars. The place is in a rough neighborhood, not much parking, and it’s definitely run down. At least it wasn’t too busy even on friday night and the staff was nice. :) if they updated some things and did a bit of cleaning up it could be nice. It was a little pricey on drinks, but they poured heavy.
Wish I would’ve taken a photo of the ceiling, there are definite leaks going on as it is stained all over.

I’ve always loved the environment here. The staff is always attentive and the pool tables are always very nice. Lots of pool places usually don’t fix stuff when it breaks. Lots of pool cue options as well. I sadly have to rate only 4 stars because of my visit today. I ordered a Guinness and it tasted like it was half water. I’ve never had an issue before, so I’m hoping it was an issue with the nitro or bottom of the keg. Other then that, I love this hole in the wall!

Love Monday for the masses half price burgers and good beer! Bartenders are friendly and fast. I moved to this neighborhood a few years back and this was the first bar I came to for breakfast. It was by far the best breakfast for the money on the block.

They pour hard, great prices. They have food all night. However the bartender people skills are much to be desired. He seemed annoyed and having a bad day.

This place has a great vibe and I don’t play pool. I had a huge jalapena burger which was superb with steak fries, my fav. Good music, good food, cold beer.

This was a decent pool hall that had good tables really good food. Their biggest fault is their bartenders. Probably the weakest group of bartenders I have ever seen at a bar. They could not make a drink to save their lives. They put pineapple juice in a margarita… who does that. Then we ordered Long Island Iced Teas and each one tasted completely different. The did not even taste close to the same. If you drink rum and coke, you probably wont have any issues… or they may put Gin in it. Yes they are that bad. So go for food, pool, and beers… but skip the mixed drinks.

It’s not much to look at, but omg! The food is amazing! I have to admit I was a little sketched, but it was one of the only places open late on a Monday night and we were starving. So glad we came, I will definitely be going back. The cook even stayed late to make us food. The menu said the kitchen closed at 11? and we got there a little after 11:30. So awesome of him!
I had the bacon cheeseburger, one of the best burgers I have had! It was huge, fresh toppings, nothing special but fantastic. It included a side of fries which were decent. Also it was great because Mondays are 50% off all burgers plus you get a free game of pool. Drinks were also 25% off.
*I also like this place because they have vegetarian options. You can substitute beef with a veggie burger or boca burger
The crowd was different, but that’s to be expected from the location. There seemed to be a good mix of people, a lot of regulars. Regardless everyone was very friendly and the place is huge. Great place to play pool.
I probably wouldn’t go back if the food was not so good. I would like to emphasize the food is awesome! If you’re in the mood for a burger And you are in the downtown area I would definitely try this place out.

I didn’t want to come here but we were trying to watch sports in Issaquah, and the first place we had gone to was NOT good for that… and this was listed as #1 for sports bars in the area.
I admit, I was biased, and wrong. This bland-​looking little place tucked into a strip mall looks like expected, but was definitely clean and service was great. There were tv’s everywhere and we were able to watch several things at once — with the sports audio on, not music!
And then we got hungry… who the heck would expect the food to be so good? Ok, yes, bar menu is typical, but really great food. The sliders seemed homemade, and the french dip (added swiss) was the best I’ve had in a long time. And they make their own potato chips! I generally think potato chips are boring, but when the bartender told us that, we had to try them — and we finished every one!

Found myself here on a Monday afternoon, and immediately the only thing I hated was that I lived 40 minutes away. No pretense. Just awesome food, awesome pool, awesome crew. Being so socially awkward I’m always worried I’m intruding when I walk into a bar, but our server was so genuinely welcoming, and the locals didn’t seem to mind when we saddled up to one of the bigger tables.

Went here to watch some friends play pool in a league. The place was fairly busy but service was better than most places on a slow night.
The food here was great. My wife and I have gone back several times just to have dinner. Not your typical bar food.

Love love love this place. I moved back home after graduating college and I wanted «my spot.» I’ve always enjoyed pool and I wanted to play more often and my dad use to play competitively back in the 70’s so I googled places to play pool in Tacoma and this place popped up and had great reviews so I dragged my dad down and we couldn’t have been happier.
My dad and I come and play pool just about every Monday (manday Mondays) and every Saturday as well as our friends and family. I also come once during the week for dinner usually. They have over 15 tables including speciality tables. The owner Clark just re covered all the 9ft tables. Only twice since October have had to wait for a table and it’s usually a ten minute wait or less. They have pretty decent house cues for a bar as well. I just bought my own and my dad still uses them cause Clark is refinishing my dad’s old stick from the 70’s.
The food is good, I’ve had a number things on the menu from chili dogs to fish and chips to pizza and it has all tasted great. Drinks are priced good and made strong. On busy nights though food can take a little while, they just have one cook.
The staff is Amazing!!! Karissa is my girl, she is beautiful and funny and she’s the main reason I go on Wednesdays for dinner just so we can chat. She knows all about my life and I know about hers. It’s like talking to a friend rather than a bar tender. She has my beer opened and ready before I can even say hi and she knows my food order perfectly. Steven is cool and knows al my orders and drinks as well, both take the time to come sit down and shoot the shit with me, which may piss others off but it impresses me. Kaycee is newer but she’s getting it down and knows my name. It’s nice to walk in and be greeted by the entire staff by name.
The other patrons are relaxed. It’s the same people every time for the most part, at least on the bigger tables. The smaller tables which you pay for with quarters get the walk ins and the regulars pay the $ 6-​$ 7 an hour for the professional tables. You get the drunks and one crazy guy but that just makes things entertaining lol.
My honest to god only complaints is that gets a little too hot in the back with the big tables and not all the speakers work, and I like the music to be a little louder.
Overall I love this place and as long as I live in the south sound I’ll be a regular.

I usually like to go here early afternoon and have some drinks and nachos. Its a pretty laid back atmosphere and fun a lot of the time. Sometimes you have an obnoxious drunk at that time of the day and want to beat the hell out of him but it don’t happen very often and every bar goes through that. I prefer the day scene over the night time there. If you are a pool fanatic then anytime of day will work for you and the drinks are stiff and good.

I’ve only been here once but I had to leave a comment. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the chicken wings and fries were. The lady who cooks put in work on that fried chicken!!! It was very well seasoned and juicy. The fries were great too. Great prices on the food. All they are missing is Karaōke! :)

Three words. Man Day Mondays. Half price burgers. Playing pool at lunch. Looks kind of scary on the outside… and on the inside for that matter, but everyone was very friendly.

Being a pool novice, I think this place has tables that would beat just about any random bar out there not to mention a lot of them. Reasonable rental rates and a decent menu… except that it’s all pretty much greasy diner food and any tournament I have been to recently the air conditioning feels like it’s cranked. Come on guys it’s less than 40 out! Long days on concrete floors can also be taxing if you are in one of their big money tourneys. I;ll be back but most likely eat before I get there… but maybe a few beverages will help with the temps. The staff is really nice and laid back and it gets a bit loud for serious shooters on the weekends.
Note to new players that «think» your really good… watch out for sharks this is one place you will loose a lot of money if your ego is bigger than your wallet.

Great place to get cheap food, and beer while playing pool. Malarkey’s has about 16 pool tables; all in very good condition with lots of choices for straight house cues.
The place is huge (like 8000sf) and the bartenders and staff have always been really cool; have been back a number of times and was greeted like any other deadbeat regular.
Heard they’ve been having lots of live rock shows. Malarkey’s has a few different rooms so it can get really fun and rockin’ in one part of the place and still be quiet in the pool area.
Couple buddies have had fantasy drafts here recently because of the free wi-​fi, TV situation and very good cheap burgers.
Full bar with knowledgeable bartenders and about 12 draft beer choices. Serve deep-​fryer-​type food, but they always seem to shut the kitchen down way too early.
Definetly should be considered a dive bar, but not in a bad way.
