History

Established in 1972.

Lighthouse Diving Center has been a part of the Puget Sound Diving Community for over 40 years. It was started by Air Force Veteran, Harry Truitt, right here in Tacoma, WA. We have trained thousands of divers through PADI, NAUI, and SDI from beginners to instructors and everything in between. We are known for having the largest in-​stock inventory in the area.

Meet the Manager

Arly B.

Manager

Arly is a retired Navy Oceanography Officer and NAUI Instructor since 1977. Arly retired in 1995 and returned to the Puget Sound because of his love of diving in this area. He has been associated with Lighthouse Diving Center since working in the Lake City store while studying Oceanography at the University of Washington in 1975. He has been certified to perform repairs in numerous brands of SCUBA equipment including Aqua Lung, Sherwood Scuba, Dacor, OS Systems, Viking and others. The coffee is almost always on, stop in to say hello and pick his brain.
