History

Established in 1997.

Lexus Of Tacoma was founded in 1997 by Michael O’Brien. Since then, we have grown to be one of the top Lexus dealerships in the nation, and continue provide truly outstanding customer service. We are proud to be part of O’Brien Auto Group’s lineup of dealerships which includes: Toyota Scion Of Kirkland, Lexus Of Bellevue, Acura Of Seattle, Smart Center Seattle, Jaguar Land Rover Of Tacoma, Volvo Of Tacoma, Fisker Of Seattle, Honda Of Salem, Volkswagen of Salem, and BMW Of Salem. O’Brien Auto Group is wholly owned by Michael O’Brien of Mercer Island, WA and is managed by himself, Mark Babcock of Bellevue and James Roes of Kent.

Business Owner

Michael O’Brien grew up in Bremerton, WA in the «car business». He was mentored by the late Chuck Haselwood a «mega» dealer from Bremerton who owned many dealerships throughout the Puget Sound region. Michael got his first partnership with Chuck at Acura Of Seattle in 1987 and later Lexus Of Bellevue in 1989. Since then Michael has built his company O’Brien Auto Group into one of the largest dealer groups in Washington State. Michael went to Bremerton High where he excelled in football. He went on to a college football career ultimately becoming an All-​American defensive back for the University of California Golden Bears. His football career culminated in the NFL playing for the Seattle Seahawks and later the USFL. Michael is well known throughout the Puget Sound region for his philanthropic generosity to the community.
