SEAFOODPLATTER Shrimp was delicious, macaroni Salad was pretty good to. However, the fried fish was soggy and the taste was pretty bad. I definitely don’t recommend the fish. CHICKENKATSU Nice and crispy, good flavor. Loved the sauce that came with it. The place was clean, staff was friendly and I do appreciate that the food is made at the time of your order so be prepared to wait a little bit. I’ll definitely be back for the shrimp and to try a few other items on the menu.

A long needed hole in my diet was filled when we decided to go to L&L. It had been many years since I last had Hawaiian food, and I had clearly forgotten about it all together. So when my friend suggested this place, I thought«Hmm never had Hawaiian, wonder if it’s good?» Boy was I in for a surprise. The instant I walked in, my sensory memory was reminded of all those time I ate Kalua Pork as a kid. That mixed with my hangover made for a great choice. For those unaware, Kalua Pork is tender pulled pork soaked in some sort of juice that descended from Heaven or something like that. I opted for the order of Kalua Pork vs. the Kalua Pork bowl. It has bigger portions and that was a must. The cashier was very friendly and I will definitely make my way back here. The real dilemma is deciding between the Kalua Pork and one of the many other tantalizing options!

Food was delicious, I give that five stars. But the young lady who took our order was very rude, not sure if I’ll be back to this location.

Authentic, DELISH Hawaiian plate lunch goodness. Chicken katsu, laulau, kalua pork and AWESOME mac salad! Just like what you expect in the Hawaiian islands!

Food was good and a lot of it. I had the katsu and pork w/cabbage loved it. I think next time just pork for this guy it was the best part. Less than 11 $ on Thursdays w/drink.

The food was amazing! The portions are huge and the price is great. The spam Musubi is awesome, but the BBQ is the best! My kids love it!

Best kaluha pig ever. Quick and easy, the food is worth the price. I love this place. Don’t settle for other Hawaiian bbq joints. You’ll know why after you go.

I always get my chicken katsu with kalua pig no cabbage mix plate with 2 hawaiian sun strawberry lilikoi. And sista over here that know me know how I like it. Always awesome portion for these away from home prices. Either way it’s all worth it especially when I ain’t the one cooking. Easy to find location being at tacoma mall on the east end entering from outside of the mall right off the I-5. They also got spam and can’t forget the musubis. All I can say is «winnah»

I would give them a 5 but unfortunately my cousin my sister and I all got chicken Katsu and there was a extra of slimey fat it wasn’t what we expected the chicken texture to be and it was kinda scary to eat besides that the bbq chicken was amazing and the macaroni salad

I often frequent the Federal Way location and I get the same thing all the time. BBQ Chicken/Garlic Shrimp combo with brown rice and a green salad. Today I tried the Tacoma Mall location for the first time. It’s close to work and I was looking for what could be relatively healthy and filling. The food was good, but definitely not cooked the same as the Federal Way location. I usually don’t feel guilty about eating here and choose my options wisely, however as soon as I opened it I could smell the grease. Unlike FW, my chicken still had the skin on it, and my garlic shrimp seemed to be heavily fried. Sadly, I probably won’t go back to this location, at least not while trying to lose a few pound

The chicken could be cooked a little longer. But it is the closest thing to home. The atmosphere is like that of home. I will give it a 2 thumbs up.

Being from Hawaii, I am a harsh critic with local food. The food I have tried is actually good(I have tried the BBQ mix plate, Kalua pig plate and chicken katsu curry). The portions are HUGE, which makes me understand why plates are close to $ 10. You can make a plate into two meals. They do not have Lomi Lomi salmon and they do not have any BBQ(teri) burgers. That makes me sad. I am sure they will eventually add these to the menu.

Goodness I love this place. Friendly people, good food. Must try the spam sushi thing. I love the macaroni salad, Katsu, ribs and really anything on the menu. So glad they opened one in the Tacoma mall.

Tried the chicken katsu plate. This is a hard dish to mess up, so I’m not surprised that it was very tasty. They served up it super hot and fresh. Chicken was crispy and the rice was perfectly sticky. Loved the sauce that was served on the side. My boyfriend ordered the beef short ribs plate. Also served hot and fresh. If you like short ribs, you’ll be a fan. I personally thought they were kind of fatty, but that’s the cut of meat. I’m going with four stars because the macaroni salad should be served separate from the hot chicken and rice. It’s served in the same container and not good once it’s warmed up.

I LOVE L&L!!! This location is awesome and honestly even faster than the Lakewood location. Smaller, but quicker. My son loves the barbeque chicken musubi and lumpia(of course). My husband, a first-timer, tried the mixed plate and basically almost fell in love with that styrofoam box, full of rice, barbequed meats, and macaroni salad. My favorite dish here is the kalua pork, but if you have a smaller appetite, definitely try the mini first! I barely made a dent in the regular size. This location is much smaller than the Lakewood location, and luckily we came at a slow time in the mid afternoon during the week. I can see it getting very crowded very quickly! Service here was great and friendly. We will definitely be here much more often!

LOOOOVE L&L Hawaiian Bbq food, especially their chicken katsu, bbq mix, and spam musubi!!! My family normally order catering from the Lakewood Town Center L&L; now that they’re located in Tacoma Mall(5−10mins away from home), it’s way much convenient! The food is always on point, I like to call and make my order before arrival to avoid the busyness…

The Food hear is really good. Large portions! On the pricy side, but it’s understandable bc it’s a family business and its new so I’ll pay the money. The workers are nice and the place is clean. They have authentic Hawaiian candy and treats too.

The food at L&L was consistent with most of their other locations, but it was nice to see that they had specials and combos that were unique from others. We tried their kalua pork and chicken katsu combo and our to-go box was brimming. Small dining area and not the fastest cooking/preparation time(we waited quite a while for our order) but still, decent fast hawaiian bbq food for a fair price.

The cashier didn’t think enough of us apparently to ask our names for when our food was ready. Food needed some more seasoning, it just lacked flavor in general.

The food is good just wish they had a mini meal instead of the bowls. The bowls are just too small and the mini meals would be the perfect lunch size. Copy Lakewood and federal way menus!

This place is really small, finding a spot to sit isn’t an easy task. The service has been excellent. The wait time isn’t bad at all. Their rice is perfect! The food was good, but I found it to be really salty… The part that I didn’t like was the condiment counter, it was really sticky, unorganized, and not kept very clean. Definitely some room for improvement, but I’ll be back!
