Our dispatchers are required to estimate as close as possible to the time that the taxi will arrive at your pick up location. In addition to passenger transportation, we also offer courier services. We are the only taxi listed with the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. We are offering an introductory special to new customers, 10% off your fare Fridays and Saturdays, 20% off your fare Sunday and Monday. History

Established in 2013.

I feel that there needs to be a cab company that people can rely on and feel they had a good experience at the end of their trip. This is a new concept in the taxi industry, I want to provide honesty and integrity. We have hopes of growing and becoming an outstanding cab/​taxi company.

I was run off the freeway by one of their drivers. Definitely would not trust them to get me where I needed to go safely. Talked with owner and not pleased that she isn’t doing anything even after talking with the driver and him admitting to it. I told her the driver should be fired

Like Jason K, I may have used a taxi only once before, but I would not hesitate to use this company again. My wife and I needed to get from our hotel to the Tacoma Symphony so after reading reviews, I chose Fair Fares. The reservation process was easy and the cab exactly on time. There was some driver issue later for our return, but the dispatcher called to make other arrangements. As it turned out, it worked out better for us, but the point is, they took the time to call and let me know beforehand then worked with me to resolve the trouble. Both drivers were extra helpful and very courteous, helping with my wife’s walker and parking near the entrance. Both cabs were clean and roomy.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Honestly, nothing.

I’m a small town boy who hasn’t had many cab rides in his life, but I’ve seen a lot of movies that featured them. Constantly there’s the stereotype of the guy jumping into the back and going «step on it!» only to have the driver pull off some straight Fast n’ Furious shit leaving the passenger (s) dazed and frazzled. That happened on my ride to a concert. But it was necessary in that traffic, quite entertaining, and probably saved me a shitload of time.

What a most courteous dispatcher. I called for a cab. They honestly said they were booked for that time, and recommended i call another company. Tori called me back in 20minutes said she her driver was available and would be there on time. The return home was just as prompt. Thanks Tori

Fast and courteous taxi service from the moment I called. Unlike ace taxi who couldn’t even have the driver to my house when I scheduled taxi service the night before I got a taxi within ten minutes with this company. They were quicker then the estimated 15 minute turn around time and got me to my destination on time. Driver was attentive to the road unlike some cab drivers I have gotten. reasonable rates unlike couple other cabs I have taken plan to use them more often

Took under a half an hour from the time I called to when the taxi driver showed up. The driver took almost ten minutes driving 4.8 miles, and the vehicle must have been bought brand new when this business started in 2013, for it felt new. We did not have a lot of delays at traffic signals, and I only saw a couple other cars drive on the road on my way home. Anyway, the driver had his cell phone integrated with navigation on his dashboard showing the steps to get to my destination, and I was motivated to give the driver good tip. I was charged only $ 14 for taking a taxi almost five miles, the fare meter started at $ 4 when I entered the vehicle. Also, the rates for this taxi company here in Tacoma, WA are published inside their windows (that are tinted), which is clever. Most of the taxis that I recall from Las Vegas, NV; they advertise their rates on the outside surface of the doors below their windows where pedestrians or drivers on the road can see them.

I used their online reservation system for the first time and was very impressed. Peter arrived 10 minutes early, confirmed where in the apartment complex I wanted him to pick me up, and said «no rush» for getting down there. I told him which route I wanted to take and he did so. Turns out the GPS would have taken us a ways out of the quickest route, but that’s not on him as far as I’m concerned. Helped me with my bag, was not a talker (neither am I!) but was polite and friendly. I thought the $ 3.75 drop charge was high, but the $ 2.25 per minute was fair. I’m surprised they don’t post their rates on their web page. I will use their service again.

I made an appointment for them to pick me up a day in advance. When it was time for them to pick me they were a no show. I called them and they said that it was canceled. I had a schedule to keep and they blew it!

Ok short notice I was leaving the next day from Seatac to Oakland, called 2 other taxi companies after 6 pm, No Answer!!! Called fair fares they picked up reviewed my location and gave me an estimate almost down to the cent!!! So no surprises on the fare! As I’m trying to get out of my parents house the ladies that were driving picked my bags up off the porch and had in the taxi when I came out! Forgot to mention that they were 15 minutes early/​on time at a residence that I could barely find myself! I had a good conversation all the way to the airport, probably one of the cleanest cabs I have ever been in! Long story short no complaints Tori was the driver who I will be using again because I fly to Seatac at least 4 times a year!!! And yes despite the one negative review they do have a policy of a free ride if they are late! Until that happens to me they will continue to receive 5 stars!!! Happy customer Mike :-)

These people stole my credit card info and charged me $ 15.50 and made up a stupid excuse about an appointment cancellation so they didn’t have to give me a free ride. Their moddo is if you make an appointment and they’re late the ride is free. They are liars and nobody should trust them.

My drivers were Ralph and Janice, a husband and wife couple. I take the taxi a lot due to having no vehicle, and working nights in the south part of Tacoma. It can be unsafe for me to take the bus home. This was the first time I’ve ever used their service because yellow cab screwed me over for the last time. They picked me up within 10 minutes, and literally they were so great. It was nice to have drivers who didn’t make you feel uncomfortable or weren’t trying to rip you off. I can’t put into words how great this cab company is. They will ALWAYS be my number one. Thank you so much!!!

I needed a ride from Tacoma to Sea-​Tac airport — in a hurry. I called the «leading» cab company (you know their colorful name). I called three separate times. No one answered the calls.
I looked on Unilocal and found Fair Fares. Having never heard of them, I was skeptical, but by this point, really needed a ride to catch my flight! Tori, the owner, picked me up herself in a brand new, very clean car. She was friendly and polite — and most importantly, timely. She got me to the airport safely and on time. I will absolutely call Fair Fares again the next time I need a ride in Tacoma. Thanks!
