Dr. Daryl Yorek offers orthodontic treatment to patients of all ages! We specialize in state-​of-​the-​art Damon Braces and Invisalign and Invisalign TEEN! Also ask about our oral sleep apnea appliance as an alternative to a CPAP device.

I have been practicing orthodontics since 1979, and truly love what I do. I enjoy serving the people and families of Tacoma and Vashon Island, and establishing meaningful relationships with families. It’s rewarding to create beautiful smiles that my patients are proud to show off! I help many patients feel better about themselves through their confidence in their smile, and that always makes my day.

I am originally from Houston, TX, and have lived in Tacoma since 1995. My wife, Kelly, and I have four wonderful children as well as three dogs and even a few Koi fish! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travel, good food, kayaking, and playing golf.

I am also active in our community, and volunteer for the Pierce County Humane Society and Dogathon, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and other local and national organizations.

I am a lucky person to love what I do every day. The combination of art and science is intriguing, and I enjoy using my skills to help local families. A new smile often brings enhanced confidence, which can be life-​changing. I love helping my patients attain the smile of their dreams and sharing their joy when they see the final results!

Dr Yorek and staff are absolutely AMAZEBALLS!!!
My youngest daughter started her treatment a little over a year ago. The transformation during her first phase is ridiculous! Zoie looked forward to each and every visit as they treated her with the utmost respect and kindness making her journey very enjoyable.
My oldest daughter is in month three of her journey with the same excitement to see the finished product.
All of our questions and concerns have always been listened to and answered with satisfaction. We tell all of our friends and family to visit Dr Yorek!
Plus they are the biggest 12 fans around… what more could you ask for? :)

The staff were so nice and accommodating. I went in for my appointment and they had accidentally scheduled me for the following month, same day by accident. The receptionist apologized, spoke with someone in back, and they were able to see me right away! I didn’t yell or get an attitude or anything — their service is just that good.
Dr. Yorek was very nice and made me feel at ease and very optimistic. I’m 30 and getting braces for the first time… so I was a little embarrassed at first. They went through the treatment plan and time line and gave me options to best fit me. I never felt pressured or rushed.
Their office is really nice — a modern looking fish tank is in the lobby (for some reason it reminded me of Ace Ventura When Nature Calls). They’re very tech forward, which impressed me.
I start my fancy teeth journey next week and I’m actually looking forward to it!

By far the friendliest staff I have had the pleasure of meeting. I was greeted with a smile and felt welcome right when I walked in. The office is beautiful, warm and inviting, and most importantly, CLEAN!
The staff all went above and beyond what I have experienced for such a small procedure and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.
I also like the fact that they really seemed to care about me as a person.
Even though this office is about 45min-​1hr from where I live, I have a feeling I’ll be back and will be telling friends and family about this 5star office!

Dr Yorek is great. Very personable, very caring. His staff is amazing and makes any visit enjoyable. Stephanie, the receptionist is the best. You or your child’s will be so comfortable there. Now, treatment wise: the treatment with Damon 2 braces is so easy, quick and less office visits. My daughters treatment was a year less than 2 other ortho’s I saw. And the night she had them placed, Dr Yorek called us personally to make sure Jazzy was ok and told us how to make it more bearable during that first night.(Teeth hurt for a few days). I can highly recommend them.

Dr. Yorek is simply the best person to go to for any kind of ortho work. Actually, I’m shocked he doesn’t have several reviews here already! He’s been at his location for years, and puts a smile on everyone’s face.
The office is very clean and well-​managed. The waiting room is large and comfortable; there’s even a playroom for kids of all ages. You can check yourself in on a customer computer at the front desk quite easily with a touch of the finger. Dr. Yorek’s office staff is extremely friendly and professional — they want to help you and seem to really, truly enjoy working there.
Most importantly, though, Dr. Yorek is great at what he does. He did braces for both of my younger sisters and they still have beautiful teeth. (I had braces 15 years ago, but went to a different orthodontist in the area). Recently, I’ve been visiting his office as well. Over time, my lower teeth have begun moving. I desperately did NOT want to have to get braces again! Every other office I called said they would have to do a set of braces — not Dr. Yorek. He was willing to work with me. Now we’re doing something special with a nightly retainer and eventually a permanent one on the back of the teeth (not noticeable). He truly has saved my smile! In addition, every time I go to see him I’m at ease. He makes everyone feel comfortable with his sweet nature.
I know I mentioned smiles a lot in this review. the smiles of his staff, the improved smile you can have when he’s done with his work — I guess their website address is fitting!
