Chirp & Co is amazing! On top of the fact that it is based in the coolest part of Tacoma (Proctor District — think West Seattle of Seattle), it’s a bird and critter lovers paradise! They have bird seeds galore, many of which are locally based out of Kent and won’t messy up your patio with seed shells. Chirp & Co also have various bird houses and seed holders that range from simple and basic to über creative bird palaces! They also have items that can complement the decorations in your home, ranging from lively affirmations to water running masterpieces.
Bottom line, Chirp & Co is a great place to visit to liven your day! The therapeutic running water will help you relax while you «ooh» and «aah» over the neat array of items they carry!

If you are a bird lover, this is the place to go. There are a wide assortment of gifts, books, feeders, bird food and decorative garden items — many of which I’ve not seen anywhere else. And the prices seemed reasonable to me. Many items were under $ 15. The people that worked there were friendly and polite, offering to help me in any way.

It’s always been a wonderful place. However, I Just bought some bird seed there and the employee tried to get me to pay cash, then took it out of their car to sell it to me. Seems to me like the employees are robbing this place blind and trying to make money on the side…

Nice garden gifts and great selection of bird feeders and accessories. The pet section is small and seems to be an afterthought. I went in there once (the first time) looking for hairball gel and the person actually said «I’ve never heard of such a thing». What!!! Who works at a place with pet supplies and never heard of hairball remedy? They also seemed to carry the better pet foods but certainly more expensive than I see at other places.
In any case they have the gardening grandma market covered.

The staff seemed nice, but the selection for dogs and cats seemed bit lacking and the prices seemed a bit high here. The definitely cater to the bird lovers and I think it’s great to see a local place covering such a niche… it’s just not something I’m particularly interested in.
