I am not impressed with this visit. Dirty table, that I cleaned myself before moving to a new one. I ordered my food and gave them my rewards #, then told how many points I have 143, then when I asked to use my points towards the meal. She said she couldn’t because she had gone past that screen. WTF? If I wasn’t meeting friends here, I would have left.

When it comes to Burgers this is the place, it Reminds me of Burger Ranch and the Old Diners Burgers that were here back in the 90’s. So this one is one of the best and few that are around. They products are Fresh and juicy… Don’t doubt it come and taste it!

The food is so amazing! So fresh and tasty. Even the soda tastes better here. Not as watered down. Must have the frys with the sauce. I’m from San Diego and this is the closest thing to In n Out from California I have found so far. Even the bathroom is cool!!!

The fries are hands down 5 stars! The burger would have been better if it wasn’t a little bit overcooked… the fry sauce was also amazing. I personally wasn’t impressed with In-N-Out so I think this place is better! They’ve also got coffee and froyo in the same place.

The burgers here are great. The fries are great(if you like handcut soggy type, which I adore) They always have a value deal s o you can find a value if you’re looking for one. Friy sauce is offered which is a star for me. I love fry sauce. The menu is digital tv signs which I’m not a fan of, but the wait staff is knowledge and helpful with sifting through the bling. A complaint is that parking can be a problem. Lot is super small and they share it with a popular Mexican restaurant. Turn on 38th and park on the street.

Can’t say enough great things about this burger place! Clean! Everything still looks brand new and they have been here 4 years… Nothing on the floors, big bathrooms which are also very clean Excellent service… Super nice, friendly staff… very attentive! Great atmosphere…50’s style but updated! And the food? AWESOME! Great burgers, crispy fries, handmade shakes that are thick and delicious! You have to come here… you won’t got to another burger joint again!

Food tastes good and I like the prices and portions. My boyfriend and I always get the two person combo and it is filling. However the only thing I don’t like about this place is how expensive the frozen yogurt is

Burger and more burgers. This is a great burger place, they are flamed broiled and the décor is great old pictures of Marilyn Monroe in Seattle, WA. The wait staff is very eager to please find in all possible ways and come around and check on you while enjoying your meal. This place is in my top 5 places to get a burger.

THECLOSESTYOUWILLGETTOIN-N-OUTINTHEPNW. I am so mad that I found this place just a few months before I am leaving Washington, because I get some serious cravings for In-N-Out and always have to wait until I go home for the holidays. This is a shared 50’s themed burger joint with a frozen yogurt shop — haven’t tried the fro yo, but they seem to have a ton of flavors and toppings you can try. But the burger, fries, and even presentation of the food was remarkably similar to In-N-Out. Service was quick, and food was great(fries are fresh cut and delicious!). If you’re missing In-N-Out, look no further than the Burger Broiler!

If you liked In & Out burgers from California, this place reminds me very much of them. Restaurant is clean and has a cool 50’s vibe with Chubby Checker playing. Burgers are made fresh as you order and they are tasty and fries are crispy and hot. Price is good too! Less than $ 13 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and a drink plus $ 2 tip. Only thing is the parking here is minimal and sometimes you have to wait for a spot to open up. Worth the wait though! Servers are friendly and helpful, they will offer you Fry sauce when they bring you your meal. It’s like Ketchup and mayo mixed together, tasty. Nice change from old ketchup. For dessert they even have frozen yogurt. You pick the size you like and that’s the price. Add your toppings and they don’t weigh it for the price! I like this place!

The food was good for the price you paid. You used to be able to get 2 burgers 2 fries for about 7 $. The prices have since gone up and you’d be lucky to feed one person for 10 $. For that price there’s half a dozen other places with the same or better food for better pricing. Also, the parking lot here is tiny and often full.

BB resembles IN-N-OUT in a lot of ways… The french fries are almost identical, as well as their original cheese burger. The biggest difference is that their menu has a lot more variety. I’m more of a chicken kind of guy and their chicken sandwich hits the spot. My last trip there I had the chicken sandwich and the Flaming BBQ burger. The BBQ burger was not very great. as it had far too much BBQ sauce on it. They have a lot of other items on their menu, such as coffees, frapps, cakes, and frozen yogurt. Fairly inexpensive, and a pretty clean restaurant. They definitely work hard. The biggest knock on this location? The parking. The parking can become an absolute nightmare. I won’t lie. the parking situation has swayed me from coming to this establishment on multiple occasions.

Friend of ours that live in Tacoma recommended this place. We decided to stop for dinner on the way home from there’s house on a Saturday a little after 6. We timed it just right. There were a few people sitting when we got there and one person at the counter ordering. We took some time to peruse the menu and the friendly cashier asked if we needed a minute and to let her know if we had any questions. They have a good size menu with burger and chicken sandwich options. I got the #1, cheeseburger combo and the the hubby got the #2, double cheeseburger combo. Our friend had said the milkshakes were amazing so we decided to try the Oreo. The food came out pretty quickly. First thing I noticed was the bun. It was grilled! You could see the grill marks on the bun. When she brought the food she also asked if we would like fry sauce. Say yes. This stuff is so good. I think it’s just tarter sauce and ketchup, but seriously yummy. Next to the soda dispenser they had ketchup and BBQ pumps, as well as pickled and jalapeños. I love BBQ sauce and this BBQ was really good. Subtly smoky flavor. Would not be surprised if it was made in house, it definitely did not taste like it was from a bottle. Next I have to talk about the fries. So good. Definitely hand cut and not over seasoned. Ours were fried perfectly. And that Oreo shake hit the spot. Bottom line-really good food made quickly. They really earned their 5 stars. Even the bathroom was nice and clean! The food came out

I am originally from California and I ALWAYS crave In N Out. This is the closest thing and I was not diappointed. The service was great and friendly for a small combo place for ordering at the counter. The food comes out pretty fast and The atmosphere is like an old school burger joint. The burger isn’t dripping with oil or sauce, it’s actually a pretty evenly made burger. The fries are pretty good, just not super salty(which I like). They are crispy on the outsides, fluffy on the inside and the well done(extra crispy) ones are great. You can get as many condiments and extras you want and the fountain is close though it’s a little cramped. Only downside: the parking lot is a pain. People either park wherever they want, even in front of other parked cars or they aren’t sure how to move around a small lot. All in all, food and service was great but definitely wouldn’t go during lunch/dinner rush.

Meh. It was just ok. I was not really impressed with the service or the food all that much. First of all upon walking in there was quite a line to order. Sometimes that means the food is good and other times, well… Anyway the line moved at a pretty slow pace but when we got to order Steve and I both ordered a Jalapeño Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Steve also got a chocolate cheesecake for us to split at dessert. Our food came out within a reasonable amount of time but we had to remind the waitress after we were done with our meal about the cheesecake. As far as the quality of the food goes the hamburger was not all that bad but not amazing. The french fries were just average and not very inspired, a bit overcooked actually. There are other burger joints in the area I enjoy more.

First time here. Saw good reviews so we wanted to give this place a try. The location was ok. It’s on a corner lot so of course it’s busy around the area. The parking itself is decent. They share their parking with a couple of other businesses but there were still a good amount of spaces left. A dude was standing outside the whole time. I think he was a worker that was in charge of trash, because he was dumping a couple of big bags when we came. He was there when we pulled up, and he was still there when we left. He waved bye to us as we were leaving, so I guess it’s safe to assume he worked for them?! The atmosphere inside was very nice and relaxing. Great furniture and TVs everywhere(including the bathrooms!) The place was very clean and well maintained. There was a lady there literally walking around cleaning the whole time we were there! The food itself was good! I got the double cheeseburger, hubby got the double hamburger. The patties looked a bit thin on the picture so that’s why we got a double. The grilled onions were on point and sauce was delicious. The fries were not the best I’ve ever had, but they were very tasty and fresh. Obviously soda is soda, but, hubby did mention that his Coke tasted a bit too syrupy. The customer service was great. The lady behind the register took our order, brought us our food, and got our trash when we were done. She was very nice and polite while doing so. Overall, we had a perfect first experience here and we will definitely be back!

In my previous review I wasn’t liking the fries but since my standards are at an ultimate low right now I have given the fries a few more tries and developed a liken to the fries that is served. It’s like eating day old french fries from McDonalds BUT it’s fresh & hot. Burgers are still good as before! I have to agree that the patties are a little thin but just get the double patty or if your a beast the triple patty is calling you fat! I mean calling your name! Choice of raw onions(recommended) or grilled onions. Just be sure to let the employee know which you prefer. I’m old school so I go with the raw onions. Parking can be a little challenging for a few since parking is limited and tight. So if your trying to roll hella deep. Definitely try to carpool. Good old fashioned hamburgers! Friendly service! Clean! Definitely a place to add to your daily rotation of being a fatty! BTW, If you want to drop a deuce there’s a flat screen TV in the single occupancy restroom to keep you occupied for a hot minute.

I remember the first time I saw a sign for this place, it read 6.66 for two burgers and fries or something. I thought it was going to be garbage, but after reading the reviews and seeing a four star I knew I had to try it. Plus we moved close-ish and I love a good burger stand. First let me mention that the location looks really nice on the inside. I was extremely shocked by this. I will follow as well that the price is not bad. Overall with two burgers, two fries and two deserts(shake and large yogurt) it came to about 20ish. At this point you are probably wonder why the 3 star, well here it is. One of my favorite local burger places is Frugals. When we moved close to the location on 512 I was in heaven. At first we ate there like once a week. After we gained 10 pounds we started to not do that as much, but it is definitely one of my favorite local burger places(That includes lefty’s). That place is cheap and good. It reminds me of what McDonalds could be. So with that in mind all local chains will have to compare to that. This place was ok compared to Frugals. I got the jalapeño burger and it had some nice spice. The burger actually wasn’t bad, but a little too greasy for my taste. The fries… not bad but not good either. Just ok. I would probably not go out of my way to get them again. The fry sauce was a little bland as well. Now the yogurt was part of the draw for me, but while the price was fair the taste was only ok. Unfortunately when it comes to yogurt I have to compare it to menchies… and while I got about double what I could get at menchies… the quality was much lower. If I had a major yogurt craving but didnt want to drive far I would get this again, but in most cases I would just go to menchies. Overall: For the price it was good, but the quality was not great. I would rather pay a bit more for a better place overall. The people who worked there were extremely nice and the location was clean. I would possibly visit again, but I would rather drive out of my way to grab frugals. Tacoma burger shacks ranking to date: 1. Frugals 2. Five Guys 3. Lefty’s 4. Burger Broiler Still need to try: 1. Friesen 2. Frisko Freeze(though they are dropping in stars) 3. Gourmet burger 4. Best burger

I feel bad about procrastinating coming here. The owner of Antojo’s has done well with this place. It is in the McKinley District of Tacoma, a part of town that has become the home of Mexican nationals new to Tacoma. Fresh lemonade, fresh cut fries, and fresh cooked burgers for a price more reasonable than QP and any other local burger joint. The burgers are very fresh. Beef patties are pretty thin, but that isn’t much of an issue for me cause I can’t eat a burger unless it is double meat or more. I prefer a charbroiled burger over a burger cooked on a griddle. The buns are toasted and don’t have sesame seeds on them, which I love. I always wondered how sesame seeds made it on burgers buns. Nothing is better than fresh cuts fries and they do a good job here. It makes a big difference when a restaurant takes the time to do fresh fries over frozen. I wonder if they use peanut oil to fry them?
