Love it here! reminds me of living in Graham in the 80s when there was nothing there but a gas station and a mobile home park! I go in to purchase a new Under Armour jacket i got a gift card for for xmas and i was there for 4 hours lol! My 7 year old autistic son loves it here as well! he loves to see the Fishies! i love to look at the rifles!

The longer this establishment is open, the worse the employees attitudes towards shoppers is, and that’s disappointing. I’ve experienced this both at the restaurant and the store.
The parking is ample, but don’t expect any courtesy from other patrons.
I’ve purchased a few products that I would assume should be «rugged» that didn’t last a day. Not worth it.

I just came from cabelas before coming here, bass pro had a much better selection of the random necessity that any hunter/​camper need.

Waited 15 minutes for the bar tender to ask us for our order, while sitting at the bar… slow slow slow, cold food and poorly staffed.

We celebrated a kid’s bday party plus later enjoyed dinner for two at the Fish Bowl inside the Bass Pro Shops and it was a pleasant experience… will definitely go again just keep in mnd when bowling you’re not allowed tospin in the chairs hahaha

Went here for lunch during my hour lunch break. The store is about 10 min from my work, so being able to get there, eat and get back in one hour without feeling rushed was awesome. We were one of only 3 other tables filled so we were seated, served and received our check in about 40 minutes! That is hard to find! We even had enough time to check out the fishtank. The décor in the restaurant and the entire store was super cool! We had the alley gator appetizer and the fish and chips. Both were really good but for the price I would think they would give you cod or halibut. Overall it was great!

Not a whole different from Cabela’s. Some items were cheaper here and some items were cheaper there. They pretty much have everything you need. Bottom line… They had some of my childhood favorite candies that you don’t find in Hawaii, anymore.

My office had a get together there after work one day. I was not part of the planning but I do recall there was some reason we had to get there asap after work because you couldn’t reserve lanes after 5 or something like that. We had a blast bowling… service was a bit slow, my drink never showed up so ended just drinking water. Food was okay… and pizzas as well. But as soon as it hit 5 or whatever the time cut off was .bam closed down our lane… we were in the 10^th frame. and they couldn’t let us finish? At that point we were treated like some bad smell they couldn’t get rid of quick enough. The store is nice, but I had expected more as I had frequented the Bass Pro in Springfield, MO which is amazing! Nice selection of clothing and shoes.

Definitely disappointed in the Reuben and unfortunately the gator bites got me sick.
1. The service was slow and by slow I mean I waited 20 minutes for a Reuben sandwich, I guess I shouldn’t have come during my lunch time. It may have been peak hours.
2. I never had gator before so I was interested in trying it, and as much as I love food, food doesn’t always love me back. I up chucked every bite, some threw my nose so I don’t know if nose up chucks are considered up chucking.
3. The Reuben, I’ve been craving a good Reuben for a while now and unfortunately it was lacking sauerkraut and messy delight of thousand island. The sandwich did come with a lot of corned beef and a fairly decent amount of cheese though if sauerkraut and lack of dressing doesn’t turn you towards another menu item.
Overall: I definitely wouldn’t go back. Great atmosphere, nice service, decent tea, bad food

Pretty cool place. Lots of stuff to look at and keep kids entertained. The bowling alley is a plus, but don’t eat at the restaurant it is awful!!!

Redneck’s paradise. the store is huge and has pretty much everything an outdoors person would want — guns, fishing gear, boats. yes boats, clothing, camping stuff. If i were into any of this, I’d probably rate it higher because of the huge selection but since I’m not, knock off a star. The prices did seem a little on the high side — though I’m no authority on outdoor gear. There’s a restaurant connected which I will probably try out sometime. I was also a little disappointed in their sidearm selection — no HK’s or Sig Sauers. A good alternative to Cabela’s which is just another 20 minutes south down I-​5. I did dig their aquarium but all the taxidermy creeps me the eff out. Just don’t get hunting.

Went to Bass Pro for the umpteenth time Saturday July 4^th. My cousin was needing a good scope for his new rifle so I thought we would swing in since we were in the area. Nick helped us out and did an excellent job explaining the pros and cons of each scope and in the end helped my cousin select a scope of which he is now overjoyed to be using. Prices did seem to be slightly higher than other places in the area but the honest, professional awesome service we received helped even that out in my opinion. Really enjoyed the experience and will be back.
Nick also went out of his way to give me pointers on bullet proofing my 1911 and was not only accurate but very helpful and knowledgable about a couple different topics i brought up about reflex sights, calibers etc. Highly recommend his insight

Great customer service, great options for just about anything outdoor, and pricing to fit every budget. Food, clothing, furniture, boats, and guns! The bowling alley and restaurant are an added bonus! Bonus/​rewards program too!

A MAN’S MAN Review of Bass Pro Shop in Tacoma
Ordering online is the cheaper way to go but I’m old school. I keep it gangster and I want to feel, touch, possibly taste it before I buy any item. I may have to change my ways soon because my experiences with trying to price match items lately have been some bad experiences because the associates do not even know their own price matching policies.
I went in to purchase a saw. Yes, a saw. I want to cut down trees in the woods aiight? But anyhow… I wanted to price match a Gerber saw that was listed cheaper online at

I was told by this old goat supposedly the cashier supervisor that they only price match other sporting good stores (Cabelas, Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Good). I called «Bullsh*t» so I pulled a b*tch move and called their own corporate Customer Service Center and was told they do price match
but hold up… it doesn’t get any better. The representative then said hold up let me ask my supervisor if we price match Walmart. I was then told that since Walmart is a whole seller and part of Sam’s Wholesale Club they do not price match anything from Walmart. What the firetruck! What I really wanted to say was WTF but I’m trying to keep it cool here.
If this place continues to have high mark-​ups and MSRP prices this place will close down and be another vacant lot in the near future. The parking lot after the big opening hype is starting to look vacant already. Yeah, there’s a bunch of cars parked up front but those cars belong to the employees and that old goat upfront.
Try this sh*t at Walmart and your going to get some lowly paid Walmart associate tell you that they do not price match their own online prices. I know this for a fact said the lowly paid Walmart associate so I pulled another b*tch move and called for a supervisor/​on-​duty manager then to be told by their supervisor or on-​duty manager that they DO price match their own online prices. Boom! Someone feeling hella crunchy!
I would make Bass Pro Shop a last resort. Be expected to pay MSRP prices and high mark-​ups! I really hope that the old goat upfront at Bass Pro Shop reads this! You old goat!

It was nice to visit a Bass Pro in the PNW (Florida native here) and have it be better than back home! Love the size, the amount of product, the variety, the restaurant, the bar, the fish tank, the bowling alley, and the staff! Everything is great! We love stopping in whenever we are in the Tacoma area.

Glad they opened this to give Cabelas some competition. I feel their stuffed animals are a lot better than Cabelas by far. Their fish tank?. .meh, Cabelas got them beat on that one. They also have a bowlong alley in it. The wait for it is pretty long though. All in all great place

We stopped in out of curiosity to see what all the fuss is about. Holy moly this place is huge. Great selection of outdoor sporting goods. It’s not just for the fisherman or hunter, we like to go camping, hiking and birding and we were in heaven. We checked out Uncle Buck’s and the bowling alley and thought it looked like super fun. From other reviews it sounds like there are some kinks to work out with the service but this is the same with any new establishment. We will be back to try a swamp burger and get our bowling on.

This is the newest coolest place to be. They opened 3 weeks ago. They offer all the outdoorsy stuff you would find at REI or Cabbellas, but the prices are quite reasonable for outdoor gear.
The Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill is where you can bowl by the hour which can make it affordable entertainment for the entire fam or your group of friends.

Eat and have regular or adult beverages. It feels like you are actually ‘IN” the fishbowl because it’s adorned with fish of all kinds and sizes hanging from the ceiling. It’s BLUE BLUE and more BLUE inside to mimic the feeling of being under water. They keep it rather chilly in there because you can work up a sweat I suppose while working for a ‘strike’ :)
My server at the bar was a sweetheart. Experience was good. Impressions were great all around. Food came timely enough for the time of day which it was early lunch but pretty busy in the restaurant section.
I sat at the bar and ordered fried calamari and chicken wings both $ 8 each and a Samuel Adams tap brew for $ 5.75
They have some flat screens at the bar and will show games on game day but remember they open as early as 11 am so early games might be missed a bit.
The shopping for gear and clothes is very nicely themed. Very rustic and does remind me a smidge of Cabbellas with all the taxidermied animals around the place.
Check it out sometime. It’s on the East side of I.5 just minutes from Tacoma Mall.

Big box sporting good places have become a tourist destination here. Why else would we go here? Prices are cheaper then Cabelas and though it is smaller than Cabelas, I think it has about the same amount of stuff, minus the more extensive camping gear available at Cabelas. Also, prices are also competitive to web deals (gotta love the bar code scanner) and because of that, I did end up buying some items.
The entrance is beautiful. Love the fireplace and all the trophies, felt much more like a private log home.
I think my biggest complaint is the tight isles. There is no room for two passing carts. This plus the fact that it is so busy makes maneuvering around the store very annoying. The other is the DIY junk section. Really not necessary for a place like this, such an extravagant entrance and then the first thing you go through at the actual store is a bunch of junk.
A plus is that their machines work for Apple Pay. Their Restaurant opens at 11 FYI and because it’s a tourist destination, there was a line already before it even opened. I’ll update my review once I get a chance to dine here.

The question remains, took Bass Pro Shops this long to open a store in the Puget sound area? A area known for its outdoor activities and everything seems a perfect fit for BPS!
Ok, now with that being said, also went to the Grand Opening, this place will most certainly give Caellas and the other stores out here a run for their money, I will be returning that is for sure!
They had a Country group playing as you entered the doors, and lots of good opening day sales, I wasnt one of the 1^st 500 people so didnt get the gift card, but the place is well worth going to without any bribes!
