Thru-Way Autoglass

I got my Accord windshield replaced here about eight years ago just before I left Syracuse.
The first thing I noticed was that it looked better than having a cracked windshield.
However, the first time it rained, I went to use my wipers and there was a huge streak right in front of my face on the driver’s side. I thought, PERHAPS, it was my wiper blade. So I bought new blades. Same thing!
The windshield was beveled in at a long horizontal angle right in front of my freakin’ face (probably about a 20 percent angle).
I called and talked to someone who was quite rude and said the craftsmanship and product used was perfect and that something must have damaged it. I explained to them exactly what I just put here. I was told that because it had been out of the shop so long (i.e., four days), they couldn’t do anything about it.
I’m not sure what Crosby G. is smoking, but if this Tim of which he speaks was the business owner back when this happened, but if it was, then he is NOT the «kind of small business owner you wish everyone could be.» The way he treated me on the phone was NOT «good people.»
I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m holding on to a slight grudge. I honestly don’t think about this often. But I’ve lived with the windshield, in the Washington rain, for about eight years, and finally replaced it about a month ago. I was worried, when I looked for a place, because you just don’t know what to expect. The place I got did an EXCELLENT job! I couldn’t be more pleased. And, it simply made me think of the time the OPPOSITE was true!
If Tim IS a new owner, then he needs to know he still probably has folks out there thinking the worst about the business.

Tim is the kind of small business owner you wished everyone could be. He knows his stuff, offers fair prices, and is good people. Thru-​way installed the remote start for my jeep, and my wife loves the thing (so do I). He also replaced my windshield, and has done some A/​C work. All work was expertly completed, on time, with competitive prices. Ask Tim about motorcycling, if you have a few spare minutes ;-)
