Nice, clean rooms with comfortable bedding. «Heated pool» is FREEZING, which was very upsetting since I only booked this location so my son could enjoy swimming the night before his treatment at Upstate University Hospital. The heating units are horrible. The fan cannot be controlled and goes on and off all night. I would have slept a lot better if the fan just ran steadily all night. The restaurant is average. Overall, it’s a nice hotel but overpriced for what you get. Now that I know you can’t swim in the pool without freezing I’ll look for a better deal at one of the other hotels the next time.

Very poor insulation in rooms and there are not any guest controls in the room to have white noise: thermostat fan and/​or exhaust fan in bathroom to drown out other guests and doors! Jason, Manager told us today that we should have known to call down to the front desk and ask them to turn on the internally controlled fans for white noise. If ONLY they had told us at check in or had a small sign by thermostat we would have slept and had a nice stay. He said our not being able to sleep was not sufficient for us to have a free night given as a courtesy! offered us 1000 points toward the required 7000 free night points required for a free night. Very disspointed and dont appreciate being blamed for not knowing how their hotel runs internally which he even described as «unique»

In the process of waiting for a different room key after midnight. TV has sound but no picture for second time today and bed pillow smells like urine. At least they are changing my room but at first they wanted to insist that I keep this one.

We booked our wedding reception with the Sheraton last year. They seemed very controlling for it being my wedding. At the last minute they wanted to move the location of our cocktail hour which we didn’t want so we were given an attitude. They seemed very upset that we finished pictures early and arrived with our wedding party before cocktail hour was over. I know traditionally you arrive after but we weren’t about to just stand around waiting. The food wasn’t nearly as good as it had been at our tasting. I barely had any of my dinner because the salmon was so dry. The whole thing seemed like a giant inconvenience for them. My DJ was very hesitant to use this venue because he stated he had previously had a lot of problems dealing with them. The gentleman in charge of the kitchen was very polite though. I don’t think if I did it again that I would choose this location.

Overall really good. I didn’t like the dark wallpaper. It made it very hard to see even with all the lights on. The bathroom counter was very low. I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland. But the room was super quiet and had a lovely view of Syracuse. The water pressure in the shower was awful. I’m so sick of the water saving features

This place dominates! Excellent staff. The way the staff reacts to issues really makes you feel that the Management really has a handle on things. A rare gem in Syracuse! Go out of your way to stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

Great location, good food… I appreciate the convenience. Love the upgrades to the lobby area.

We stayed here as a family member had surgery. This place is the closest to the hospital & we could easily walk there everyday. They give a medical rate if you or your family is a patient. Parking is not free so be aware… They also take a pet but have a strict pet policy… You cannot leave your pet in the room to go to eat or go visit the hospital — I can understand if you have a yappy dog but it makes it hard for those of us who don’t. Good bar… Which after spending the day over at the hospital we really needed it!
We also left something in our room when we checked out– hours later they still had it securely downstairs. All ok.

Incredibly overpriced. 400 for one night? You’re in Syracuse NY, not Paris. Get a grip.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms, plenty of room to relax in the lobby while waiting for friends or colleagues, a staff looking to make your stay everything you want it to be and a location just down the hill from SU make this a great choice for your stay in Syracuse.

Have been traveling to this wonderful? city for the last 2 years and this is my go to hotel. Convenient location on campus with good food choices and convenience. Shuttle bus is awesome and very prompt. The front desk is great and fixes any issues you have.
Make sure you check out the free Schwinn bikes that you can use to see the campus. Beware of the hills.

Nice hotel with amazing views all around. Located right in the heart of Syracuse university campus with students’ noisy mornings and lots of restaurants to try food.

I recently stayed here during an overnight trip for a concert after getting a recommendation from a friend. I still can’t thank him enough for suggesting it. Not only was my room extremely comfortable (and discounted, because they accidently gave me a handicapped room), but every single person working there was extremely friendly and welcoming. When I didn’t have enough cash on me to take a cab to the Amtrak station, they offered me a ride in one of their vans. I didn’t have the time to check out their restaurant and bar, so I can’t give any reviews on that. But if it’s anything like the rest of the hotel, I’m sure it’s amazing.
All-​in-​all, I am extremely happy with my stay there. If I ever find myself in the area again, I know exactly where I’m staying.

We returned to the Sheraton again thus year and i was pleased to see that the problems we experienced last year did not return. Our room was great, beds super comfy and the staff was friendly and pleasant.
We still had a bit of a bad taste in our mouths from last years experience so we decided to forgo eating in the restaurant.

Decent enough conference space, second time here. Super convenient if what you are wanting is a hotel in the middle of the Syracuse college scene, otherwise the location is not a plus. Typical Sheraton, nothing special, not horrible either, the staff have always been above average, but I have never had a problem that needed to be fixed either.

Clean rooms, excellent location, great service, pool, gym, flat screen HD TV’s with tons of HD channels, exceptional service room service. It’s only open until 11pm but there are places right across the street that are open until 2am so it works out well. The bed are are super comfortable.

I’ve stayed here a few times on business and it’s always been a pleasant experience. The beds are surprisingly comfortable and not overly springy and like most hotels they give you about 900 pillows. The room is always very clean and there is free starbucks coffee and tea in the room with travel cups.
Room service is quick and reasonably tasty. They even give you cute miniature bottles of condiments.
Unlike the poster below I’ve never had problems with the internet — I bring my laptop and watch streaming netflix without any issues.

We recently attended a wedding in Syracuse and when the reception was slated to be in this hotel, I’d have to be stupid not to book a room.
Unfortunately, all that was available was a 2-​bed double room… but we made do. The bed were comfortable and the linens were new and fresh.
Room service was good and quick also, which we took advantage of for lunch. Pricing made it a well-​worth-​it option when we were watching football.
After the wedding, pizza delivery at 2am worked like a breeze also.
My only qualm is that since the building is shared, you have to continuously use your room card to get the elevator to work. Also, we almost got stuck in the parking-​garage elevator.

beer price is ok for happy hours. Pricier than other bars on Marshall St., but the free food part is awesome. The price after happy hours is ridiculous.
Not digging the night scene, too many old people.

Ok — generally my impression of this place was good, nothing unusual. I was traveling with two family members so I had a cot sent up to our room so I wouldn’t need to sleep on the floor. Now let me just say that I’ve slept on a cot or two in my day, but this cot was WORLD CLASS. Comfortable as can be. If I ever stay in this hotel again, i think I’ll throw my bag on the bed and ask for a cot, even at extra cost.
Otherwise the staff was pleasant and the place was well kept and clean. Great view of the university from the higher floors.
