Mr. Catsimatides is the founder and principal of Open Atelier Architects, a New York based architecture, planning and design firm that takes an innovative research approach through investigation of critical issues in building design. The firm is committed to sustainable and green design practices and takes advantage of today’s latest building technologies to advance architecture.

Since founding the firm in 2002, Mr. Catsimatides has acquired licenses in PA, CA, CT, MA and NY. Prior to founding OA Architects, Mr. Catsimatides spent 25 years with prominent architecture & technology firms in CNY, NYC, Charlotte NC and the San Francisco Bay Area, working on a variety of building types, from large scale government centers, mixed used commercial projects, academic and institutional work, art galleries, high tech office buildings, multifamily developments to single family custom high end homes.
