Johnny Mac’s Pizzeria & Deli

This is the best pizza in Syracuse. There, I said it.
My wife introduced me to the place when we first began dating as its only a couple seconds from her parents house. Everything is always great here, fresh ingredients and completely delicious.
They have the best garlic pizza in the area, and great wings. I am a STAUNCH buffalo sauce eater for my wings, and theirs is great, but I LOVE their BBQ sauce as well. I’ve never tasted anything like it and it’s hard to describe the flavor, but it’s both sweet and spicy. It doesn’t honestly taste like a BBQ sauce to me, but it’s delicious and I have to get split sauce orders whenever I go.
The staff is usually younger locals, but they’re always extremely friendly and accommodating. The place is a hole in the wall as far as décor goes… it’s a tiny place with only a couple tables. But that’s what a real pizza shop should look like, and where the best tasting always comes from.
I regretfully live too far away to get it as much as I’d like to now, but luckily, every person I’ve brought here has also fell in love with the food and we regularly make dinner runs to the place, so I have plenty of reasons to make the drive every now and then.
If you’ve never been, go. The only downside is you’ll crave it anytime you want pizza.

Used Order from there regularly, very good pizza. Unfortunately more than once I’ve ordered food that had a long brown hair in it, after the 3^rd time I dont order from them anymore

I stopped here tonight for dinner. Excellent choice. The staff is amazing. Very courteous! They brought my food out piping HOT, which is difficult for some places, but not here. I definitely will be stopping again!

Hands down the best pizza and wing combo I’ve ever had. For starters their red hot garlic wings were crispy and not too spicy but completely delicious, and I’m a wing snob. On top of that the pizza was insane. Very authentic NY pizza. Best I’ve had in a long time. You need to try this place!

Great pizza. Very courteous and respectful staff. The dinning area can use an update. If you do takeout, jackpot. Good price too. Great place to call and order a to go pizza.

A proper marinara sauce! It’s not sweet at all.
Ordered the stuffed shells special and a small antipasto. Delivered on time and so incredibly piping hot I had to let it sit for a while.
Four large stuffed shells. Plenty of sauce. Delish.
Small antipasto is $ 5. It’s huge. Can easily feed two.
Simple, timely, tasty, cheap grub.
My very serious complaint is that they didn’t throw in any plastic utensils for me. I’m at a hotel. No silverware to be found. Thank you, glovebox.
