I come for an annual event held every second Wednesday in July. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and have always had a great time. The staff does an excellent job keeping food and beverages moving. They also keep cars moving and parking efficiently. The clams are excellent. They serve both steamed clams and fresh shucked clams. Not only that, they have great peel & eat shrimp, fried clams, boiled whole lobster, sausage, burgers, etc. Plenty of covered picnic area. For activity, they have horseshoe pits, volleyball court and a softball field. Bring yo8r baseball mitt, but most importantly, bring your appetite. You won’t leave here hungry.

Previous Patrick is right, this place is where most businesses probably go for clambakes etc. I’ve gone here every year for one! I love them, the look and feel of the place is great, perfect playing areas for kids while I chow down on some salt potatoes, corn, burgers, and ice cream. If you don’t go here for a business clambake you should be very jealous! Parking is great with a giant open field you can put your car anywhere. Walk in, grab a name tag, and go straight for the food, or the beer, either way you’ll enjoy yourself here!

If you work in the Syracuse there is a high probability that your company picinic will be held at Hinerwadel’s. This is a Syracuse tradition. What you will find is clams of all types, a raw bar and salt potatoes which are mini potatoes that are grown in the Syracuse area. The potatoes are boiled in salty water and then served with lots of butter. After a long winter most Syracuse residents are looking to do things outside and this is one of the places to get outside and have fun.
