Such a nice bunch of folks. They carry a great selection of produce and local meat(frozen), eggs, and Ithaca Dairy milk. They also have fresh goat milk and a nice variety of local artisan cheese, guacamole and what not. Worth your time to check it out. They are a pick up point some CSAs too, Early Morning Farm and The Good Life Farm. Excellent location.

Green Planet has local(when available), organic produce, in-store made raw food and desserts as well as a selection of raw, organic items. They carry a large selection of local items and really support the local artisans. Good selection of kombucha, superfoods, bulk foods, raw nuts, organic/antibiotic free meats. If they don’t have an item, they will see if they can get it for you.

Organic Very Berry Mix has no added sugar and is delicious!!!(Dried berries including pomegranate, goji, Inca and other delights). Good choice on Kombucha and other fermented drinks. Lots of bulk nuts, grains, and legumes. Some produce and frozen foods. Lots of GF breads(all frozen). Wish they had better hummus and yogurt choices. What a pleasant surprise in Oswego!!!

Nice selection and clean interior. It was clearly my first time there(I kept walking the aisles, trying to check everything out), and although the store was not busy and several employees were milling about, no one asked if they could help me or if I was finding what I needed, though I suppose that could just be the hands-off approach, which is fine if that’s their thing. Most of the products I saw are available at Wegmans, and cost a little less there. I’m not talking about a drastic price difference, but I’m sure Wegmans has an advantage by buying larger quantities. Typically, I saw a $ 1 – 2 markup on what you’d expect to see at Wegmans, with a few more expensive products(Kale chips, for example) at the same price. [I can’t speak to supplements… I don’t use them, so I didn’t peruse them.] I was excited to see a product at checkout that I used to see everywhere, and picked up a package to purchase and told the cashier how great it was to find again… I got nothin’ from her… she did not address me — not even a disgruntled grunt. That, coupled with the whole sort of elitist/insular vibe I got from the folks there is enough for me… I won’t return. I should give two stars, but karma and all that. They do have a lot of products that may be hard for you to find if you can’t get to Wegmans… across the street…

This place gets five stars because it has by far the best selection of organic, vegan, and raw food around. All of their produce is organic. This is great because it’s all high quality. However, if I want a type of produce that is not available in organic form anywhere in the area I do have to go to another grocery. Their selection of dry fruit is pretty good. One day I could not find dried blueberries but then I realized that some of the dry fruit is stored in the refrigerated section in the back. They have a huge selection of organic spices and even have spices you can buy in bulk. They also sell some loose leaf tea by weight. They have many other items sold in bulk that you would see at some other groceries. I like their frozen food section as well. They offer some of my favorite items I have not found anywhere else. This is where you would find a variety of gluten free goods such as bread and donuts. I do not take supplements but for those who do this place has a wide variety of them plus vegan protein supplements. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. The store has a small café area with tables and chairs. They serve a few special dishes and a soup each day. They always offer a host of different smoothies.

One of the few places that sells my favorite coconut water(C2O). Friendly and fairly knowledgeable staff. Clean, organized and great selection!

I love green planet. They have a little bit of everything. I can do all of my shopping for the week here. Their bulk section is fabulous. I’ve always been a whole foods fan and really missed being close to one. I was so excited when I found green planet. It’s like a mini whole foods. The employees are very helpful and have always been nice to me. I really enjoy shopping here.

I went here for the customer appreciation day with high hopes. I usually go to Natur-Tyme when I am home so I was excited to potentially find another hub for my organic needs. The product selection is not bad, but the prices take advantage of the market. I try to support local businesses whenever I can and the high prices alone would not have scared me away, but the customer service was deplorable. At the check-out the employees were still trying to sell me products, even though I was already making purchases. They had raw dessert samples out earlier and the check-out lady asked if I had seen the other desserts. Excited, I thought she meant more samples, she coldly said, «No, to buy.» Green Planet’s employees shared an elitist attitude that really turned me off. The only kind, non pushy employee I found was the older woman who was sweet as a peach.

Green Planet is a great store. Used to go to Natur Tyme but they moved and can’t drive out thier way every week. Green Planet has every thing I need and want, and the people there are very nice and know thier stuff. Chris

Green Planet Grocery is great! The prices are very reasonable, and are comparable to other ‘natural/organic food’ sections of area supermarkets. The organic produce looks fresh and tastes great. The store is very clean and is locally owned and operated, with an in-store Naturopathic Doctor on staff for consultations. Staff seem to really care about the health and wellbeing of people in our community. I love the black bean pasta(with NO carbs!) and the inexpensive price on their cold pressed virgin olive oil.

Nice natural foods market – more local products than Natur-Tyme. Very clean and well organized. Across from Fairmont Fair(Marshall’s Plaza). Friendly staff.
