These guys are simply incredible! I had a 80s pair of ray bans and a 60s/​70s rose colored gorgeous NHS British /​glasses, that no one in ny, U.K. Or even in Europe NOONE WOULD TOUCH TO FIX!!! I was told at least 20 x «sorry, throw them out, no one will fix, as too expensiv a job, buy a new pair». Let me tell you when I emailed the owner he was beyond accommodating, a true craftsman, a gentleman, a MENSCH in the best sense that they DO NOT MAKE PEOPLE LIKE THIS ANYMORE in our «throw away» society this old school optical craftsman knows his stuff and had no problem fixing and the price was not the price of a new pair of glasses… all reasonable and truly… I can kick myself at how many antique glasses I have thrown out because broken and no one to fix. I will stay with these guys, support, tell everyone all over about this fantastic business! I cannot tell you how fast, efficient, quick the work turned around and I got the packet so fast I thought it would take a month… super fast speedy work… do not believe any neg review as the honesty, care, concern, and pride of running an «old school» business with old fashioned honest values… like these guys… would never cheat you (the guy who gave zero review all sound suspect, strange) you are in good hands… communication is key and the owner was super/​ultra/​mega clear of what could and could not work… so here is to a brilliant business that I will patronize for eternity… a rare diamond gem in the midst of horrific, non commutative robot/​corporate «could care less, don’t bother me» energy of shops /​business /​services… that sadly become the majority… more and more I will only focus on local and small businesses… like these guys! Thank you frame fixer guys… THE BEST!

These guys deserve 0 stars. They are crooks. I sent in a pair of new glasses for the temples to be replaced and they never sent my glasses back after repeated attempts to contact them by phone and email. This was a while back and I am still beyond mad.

I made the mistake of buying Nikon Titanium frames. Second mistake buying them from a small shop for hundreds of dollars. Within six months the frame broke. Nikon discontinued the frame and neither Nikon nor the shop were willing to stand behind their product. The shop owner said it was impossible to fix titanium frames.
I found Framefixers on the Internet and to my surprise they could indeed fix them at a very reasonable price. They promptly fixed them and sent them back nice and clean with new pads and everything. a year and a half later the frames break again in two different places. Again Framefixers did a great job and gave me sizable discount because I was a returning customer. Frames came back again with new pads AND new tips (temple covers). Again, they break in six months. This time it was under their warranty. They gladly fixed both sides and sent it back. In transit it must have broken. It seems the titanium gets so brittle it can crack like glass. So this time they’re going to replace the entire temple arms no charge.
Don’t understand the negative comments. They’re probably a competitor or someone who you can just never please. They’ve gone far above and beyond the call of duty. They could have just said these titanium frames are garbage, throw them out. But instead they’ve stood by their work despite the crappy product Nikon put out.
They even have a free charitable foundation for parents of developmentally impaired children with prescription eyeglasses that need to be repaired or replaced. The AUGUST CORNELL VISION FOUNDATION. Their foundation is self funded and does not solicit or accept donations which I like because that’s how I run my church. I use the church to distribute my personal funds to those in need.

I had a very good experience. These glasses that I posted were in pieces… there weren’t any glasses… only parts. They were able to find a frame to attach them to and fit them securely. I now have an incredible pair of sunglasses.
They were able to take what I thought was impossible to fix and made it work.

Let me start off by saying that i am NOT affiliated in any way to this company.
i am SHOKED by these negative reviews!, i really question how authentic they are.
how in the world did a sweet and kind of a man as him (the owner «robert») get such negative reviews is beyond me.

i called the owner (robert) which was super kind and very friendly and talkative!
he expland to me how he can (easly) fix and smooth out the deep scratches i had on my vintage gianni versace frames that i love so much.
i shipped them all the way from israel to him.
the day he got them, i recived a friendly message telling me that they arrived and he also wrote to me how much would it be to fix them.
he also stated that they will be ready in about 3 business.
the next day i got an update telling me that they are being worked on and that they should be ready later that day and that he would ship them back to me that same day, and they were!
later that day i got an express tracking number from him via usps AND the returned package was even insured!
it took him 1 day to fix them and send them back… talk about super quick service!
when i got them (two days later) i was amazed how good they looked.
they looked 100% NEW.
he did such a Wonderful and fantastic job on my frame that i will go back to them for all my other frames.
you cannot find real eyewear craftsman like him anymore.
If you have vintage eyewear… send it only to him!
he can fix almost anything!
before we sent the frames to him we have contacted many (many) eyewear shops that couldn’t help us (to say the least) and some were so ignorant it was embarrassing.
he was the only one that said that he can fix the frames and he did! and in a super fast timely manner.

i normally do not write reviews and this is my first review i ever wrote here but these negative reviews made me want to say THE TRUTH about him and his company!
because the service i had recived and experienced from him was **exceptional**.
the most kindest service i could ever ask for!
he did an excellent job and he is as professional as it gets when it comes to cosmetic vintage frame repairs.
i will not let anyone handle my super rare and delicate vintage frames besides him!
Everything from service to shipping to time frame to price to outcome was simply fantastic.
please guys, before you make up a negative point of view in your mind about this company…
PLEASE check out the reviews that REAL people leave on this company’s facebook page, (just write «framefixers» on facebook).
im sure that will make you change your mind and clear any doubts about them.

Sent two pair of sunglasses a pair D&G and a vintage pair of tortoiseshell Cazals for repair. This guy (Robert) who keeps answering the phone started off very pleasant and helpful. He called me to fill me in on the progress, I had a death in the family so I asked him if he could wait a week for payment.
He called me to fill me in on the progress of my glasses until I made the payment… Then nothing… I received the D&G glasses three days later but no Cazel’s. Now the Cazals are worth 1,000−1,500 dollars because they are vintage. I shared with him that I was going out of the country the following week and needed those glasses. Robert assured me that I would receive the glasses by Thursday by April 9^th. Guess what… No glasses. I called twice I got no answer and had to leave a message.
Robert returned my call that night at 7:00 pm and explained that quality wouldn’t release the glasses because the new Casal lense that came in had a scratch on it. And I delayed the process because I didn’t pay him right away, (mind you this was due to a death in my family) and I should be happy because I received the D&G back already and they were in great condition… Well the D&G where just ok… they were not great so whatever but *Really* Robert do I sound like boo boo the clown???
I went ape… I told him send me my glasses back now and provide me with a tracking number. What Mr. Robert doesn’t know is my brother is a State Trooper in upstate NY and I will have the him at front door if I don’t get my glasses back ASAP. Don’t think because you give a UPS store as your address there isn’t a way for me to find you. I gave him instructions on where to send my glasses while I am out of town and if I don’t receive them watch out… And I am going to dispute the charge.

This business seems like a complete scam. Sent my vintage glasses in for repair in Oct 2013 and now it’s the end of December and I still haven’t received my glasses. I paid in October and have made a minimum of 6 calls and opened a BBB complaint against this company. I keep getting excuses about why they haven’t returned the glasses. The one man that I’ve spoken to each and every time I’ve called also was extremely rude around the 4^th time I called and chewed me out because my repair was holding up his assembly line for the last 2 weeks, which I think is yet another excuse. What a rip off. I just want my glasses. Should have read the 48 BBB complaints against this terrible business.

I sent my Oliver Peoples sunglasses to have the brown paint removed and the frames refinished with gold plating. I just got them back, they scraped most of the paint off but not all of it and no gold plating.
My Visa has already been charged, I’m going to dispute this.

I once more had an excellent experience. My new lenses were rapidly made and returned to me in record time. Honestly, having dealt several times with Framefixers and bring a business woman myself, I have to wonder how valid these negative comments are. I have no stake in this business, I’m just telling the truth.
I question the source of these accusations against Framefixers. I would NOT send expensive vintage frames several times to a business that was not excellent.

These guys are the worst. I’ll spare the details; 5 months, 30 phone calls, numerous promises of ship dates, and after received, a very poor repair. Check them out on google consumer report sights. Many, many complaints. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

Situation: Sent in $ 600 glasses for repair. Called to check when I would receive the glasses back and was told they would be mailed that afternoon.
Me: Happy as a clam, thinking I can resurrect something I thought was irretrievably broken after I decided not to bother the arrogant Cartier customer service again with a problem I had with one of their products. How could one of their products possibly have any problems? (But that’s another story)
Time: Does what it does best. It passes. 6 weeks of it.
Me (again): Now worried (as a clam?). That the glasses may have been lost by the shipper, that is. So I leave a message to request a tracking number. Not an angry message, mind you. Just a message. And again. And again. You get the point. After I week I get someone on the phone.
Person says «If you hang up on me, I will never call you again».
Me: Speechless
Oh, I did get a tracking number. UPS doesn’t recognize it.
Glasses: Who knows?
