Empire Interpreting Service is an Interpreting Referral Agency headquartered in New York State. We provide professional Sign Language and Spoken Language Interpreters in legal, educational, medical, mental health, platform and religious settings. This list of venues is continually expanding to meet the increasing need for professional Interpreters in a myriad of settings.

Our Interpreters are state or nationally certified, possessing the years of experience, knowledge and credentials required to fulfill your particular interpreting needs. We carefully match the strengths of our Interpreters to each assignment, keeping in mind ADA and Title VI requirements and consumer preference.

History

Established in 2000.

In 2000 Terre Slater decided she wanted to provide professional Sign Language and Spoken Language Interpreters in legal, educational, medical, mental health, platform and religious settings, with standards and professionalism far above other companies.

Meet the Manager

Manager

Trevor Slater began working with EIS in October of 2007 as an outside consultant and has recently been promoted to Director of Advertising Technologies.

Heading our first out-​of-​state satellite office, Trevor meshes his intimate knowledge of the Charlotte Business landscape and technological savvy as he manages EIS’s viral marketing department.

Trevor also brings a unique perspective to the EIS team as he was born profoundly Deaf and gained his hearing later into childhood. We look forward to utilizing Trevor’s experience in our continued growth.
