History
Established in 1877.
Robert G. Ellis started the agency in 1877 in the village of Camillus as Ellis Insurance Agency. He was later joined by his sons Robert & Ralph Ellis, His daughter married Harold Moreland who joined the agency and the name was changed to Ellis, Moreland & Elis. In the early 1900’s the agency moved to the City Bank Building in downtown Syracuse. In future years other generations joined the agency. They were Bob Ellis, George Brenneman, Ralph Ellis, Roger Moreland, Neil Brenneman, Ray Smith, Al Jones and Rhonda Cabrinha. The agency is currently owned by Al Jones and Rhonda Cabrinha.
