We specialize in automotive computer diagnosis, electrical testing and repair, transmission and engine overhaul and repair. In addition, we perform all general automotive repairs, foreign and domestic.

History

Established in 1986.

The owner was one of the first technicians in the 1970’s to be certified by National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence, known today as ASE. His knowledge and certifications include automatic and manual transmission overhaul; differential and transfer case overhaul; advanced engine diagnostics; and brakes and suspension repair. Check engine light on? He and his technicians are particularly adept at diagnosing those elusive electronic emissions problems with which other shops struggle. Davco came to Syracuse in 1986 from New York City and Long Island. David began as a transmission installer, then rebuilder, shop manager, and finally, an instructor at APEX Tech School in Manhattan. Since then, his drive for excellence and his desire to help people with honest, professional automotive repairs inspired him to open Davco Performance, offering Syracuse the best in all-​around auto repair.
