History

Established in 1956.

Montgomery-​Nichols, Inc. is a family owed, independent insurance agency that has been in business for over 50 years. Started through Thomas Nichols Sr. and Boyd Montgomery Sr., the company grew to be an established part of the Sylvania Community. Today both of their sons, Thomas Nichols Jr. and Boyd Montgomery Jr, fill their shoes to run the family owned business, which continues to successfully serve its clients. Recently the third generation, Tom’s son John Nichols, has joined the company to continue its service within the community.

My name is JP Nichols and I am a new agent here at Montgomery Nichols Inc. I have a Finance degree with and Entrepreneurship minor through the University of Toledo, and I have been born and raised in the Sylvania/​Toledo area. My commitment to serving the community I grew up in is very important to me and I am excited and passionate about continuing the family business through its third generation.
