The Pancake House

New owners making all the difference! Lots of options on the menu– salads, wraps, burgers, sandwiches… All good!
I was lucky to get a sample of their new dessert– banana cream custard pie and it was great.
I’d say give it a try!

Stopped by here with the family for breakfast and we were not disappointed! I hadn’t been here since the 90s. The place has recently changed owners and have done some great upgrades. The food was excellent. You have to try the ‘Famous Home Fries’! They were out of this world! Perfectly done! I can’t wait to come back!

The Pancake House is back to being the Pancake House under new ownership. Completely remodeled, it looks totally different — bright and airy and now equipped with air conditioning!
The new owners have upgraded the menu with waffles, several different eggs benedict choices as well as poutine and a wide variety of grilled cheese sandwiches on the lunch menu.
I’ve been there twice in the past week and the food was good both times. They are still new so there are a few kinks in the service but I’m sure they will get them squared away soon!

First visit and not my last for sure! Had the eggs Benedict. The chef knows how to poach an egg perfectly, and made a perfect hollandaise sauce. Bobby Flay would be impressed! Looked at the lunch menu and was happy to see a good selection of items not found elsewhere on the beach.

Service was slow as heck, then they brought the food out about foe minuets apart so we all ate at different times! It literally took 50 minutes for breakfast and they were not busy at all! Place needs to be cleaned up a bit too, love the old restaurants but they shouldn’t look run down.

Rancid burger from freezer and very slow service. Live at beach but will never go back. Should be no stars but Unilocal has to have rating

We went there on a tues around 9am… should have known to leave when I saw a guest check sitting next to the register with money because there was no one there to put it in the register…
We didn’t even know to seat our selves… no sign and no one at the door when u walked in…
We sit near the kitchen… we got our coffee right away… but it took 15minutes for someone to take our order… then an order was put in for a party of seven and the kitchen couldn’t handle it…
After sitting for 25 minutes to get 2 orders of pancakes… my husband asked how much longer be for we get our order? Because if it’s not out in the next few minutes… we want our check… we were told it is almost ready… they did come out in 5 minutes… but my pancakes were under done and they charge an extra 2 bucks to add either strawberries or blueberries… I didn’t get 2 bucks worth of strawberries. We also asked for a coffee refill but we were ignored…
If you really want pancake when u are in sylvan beach… it’s worth the 10 minute drive out to route 31 and go to one of the other diners there…

This place was not busy and still terrible service. Ordered 2 eggs with sausage and waited for 30 min before walking out. Never brought the water I asked for, never saw my food but I paid $ 1.99 for folgers coffee and they gladly accepted my money. This place cannot even handle a simple breakfast order. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
